Thunder rolled and lightning flashed, lighting the entire room. Cassie awoke in cold sweat, foggy and confused. The room was dark. The only light she had was the barely visible moonlight coming through the window in front of her bed.

She was home. Her mother's house. Her old bedroom. "Shit!" She whispered to herself. She knew this dream. She's had it too many times before. It wasn't what was in the dream that scared her anymore, she was more curious than anything. The problem was, she could what was happening to her.

Cassie frantically looked around the room for what she knew was coming. It didn't take long for it to appear. Rising from the shadows, standing directly in front of the bed. Its silhouette blocking out most of the light from the window.

Once again Cassie found herself in a deadly game of stare with the wolf that had been haunting her nightmares since she was a teenager. The slightest look away, the quickest blink. If she lost focus for even a moment, it would attack.

A sudden crack of thunder caught Cassie's attention. It was so loud the room shook as the lightning struck just over the house. 'NO!' There wasn't any time to think of how to get away. Or if it was even possible. The first of many bites and scratches tore into her skin. Like dozens of sharp knifes ripping at her body. The more she feared it, the worse the pain.

She kicked and screamed every time she felt those claws penetrate her skin. The teeth sinking deep into her arms as she tried to defend herself. She could feel the warm blood as it pooled around her.

Her heart was racing. She could feel her arms getting weaker as she continued to fight for life. She could feel the heat coming from the wolf's breath as it got closer and closer to sinking its teeth into her face.

Suddenly it was over. She woke up again in a dark room, panting and covered in sweat. A violent thunderstorm raging outside. The residual pain was slowly fading as Cassie placed her hand over her chest. She could feel her own heart beating hard and rapid. Taking deep, slow breaths in attempt to calm down.

With a combination of moonlight and lightning strikes, Cassie could see that she was still in the Castle. The Lady's bedchamber to be exact. All the walls were white. Just in front of the bed sat a fireplace. A bear skin rug spread out across the floor. A painting of Lady Dimitrescu placed above the fireplace. She was seated in a golden throne. Her dress was red, elegant and flowing. It hung just off her shoulders. A rather large hat sat upon her head, white with a large plume.

To the right of the fireplace, shelves built into the wall. The Lady's personal book collection looked to contain no less than a couple hundred books. Her large golden vanity and tall Victorian pouf chair sat in front.

On the left, a large dark red chaise, seated in front of two large windows. Their faded blue curtains drawn open. The entire village was visible from there. Tall candelabra lamps were in each corner of the room along.

Cassie was startled out of her observations. A familiar voice came from directly beside her. In the time she spent trying to figure out where she was, she hadn't noticed Lady Dimitrescu lying right beside her.

"Are you alright?" The Lady asked calmly.

Cassie panicked again. She hopped out of bed, nearly falling to the floor, as the bed was much higher than she thought. Fit for a nine foot six person.

"Where am I? What's happening?" Cassie asked.

The Lady sat up and lit the small lamp on her nightstand. "You are in my chambers. You are disturbing my slumber." She said staring back at Cassie. It had to be around three in the morning and the Lady was definitely not in the mood for this.
