When Peter wakes, he instantly notices the absence of warmth beside him and uses his arm to blindly, reflexively reach over for MJ
he's gotten so used to her being there becuase he didn't know she left early to her parent's house while he was still sleeping through it
but he regains consciousness in the morning it just feels wrong and off when she isn't right now
The instant he touches the empty sheets beside him, his eyes snap open and his morning drowsiness disappears immediately
He lifts his head from his pillow and looks at the place on the bed where MJ should be, but isn't
Then he gulps and looks around the room, pushing his hair back with his fingers
He feels a hard pounding ache in his head but he barely even notices it because he's so worried and stressed and confused about where she could be
But after a whole minute of blurry, cloudy confusion, he remembers pushing her against the wall, he remembers hearing her moan his name as she needed him right then and there
he remembers pressing his mouth against her and making her come and he blushes at the thought of it; his heart racing, his mouth dry, his mind going crazy
He can't believe of it that it happened at all let alone the rest of it he feels her body on his how much he needs it
"Shit," Peter breathes out to himself, sitting up and putting his face in his hands
He remembers walking out mid-MJ-orgasm, and part of him wishes he had just stayed out and not gone back in
but it wouldn't be like it is now—where he knows what she looks like when she orgasms, and she knows he can orgasm just by watching her orgasm
Peter grabs his phone and checks the time to see it is almost past morning Jesus he couldnt believe he slept in that long
He then sets his phone down and lays back against his pillow, closing his eyes and rubbing his throbbing temples
After a few minutes, realizing he should probably get up and get ready for the wedding
Peter sits back up and walks to the fridge, drinking a whole water bottle to try and relieve his dry mouth. It doesn't work
He turns and is about to go out and search for MJ, but right as he gets to the door he notices a note tucked beside the doorknob
So he pulls it out, unfolds it, and reads
Going to get ready with my parents there so your suit is hanging up in the bathroom so get your fat ass ready dont be late it will piss them off mostly my mom so your ass better be awake and ready
Peter reads it over a thousand times not caring about the content but focusing more on her tone of it
is she angry regretful upset he knows he probably won't be able to tell since sometimes MJ can be unpredictable at times but most of the time not really but tries anyway and he's scared
He gulps and sets the note on his nightstand taking in a long uneven breath he's scared nervous embarrassed to face her and he only probably has an hour to prepare himself for it
Peter takes a shower and tries to take his mind off of everything, but he can't and he's terrified to see her
Because he's terrified everything's going to be weird and he's terrified that he should have just stayed and saved them and their relationship the humiliation
He's also terrified that she's finally letting someone in, and finally has someone who cares for her and understands her, and he just ruined it all by messing up her relationship with her parents her mom
I mean none of this would've happened if it weren't for him now he isn't prepared for any of them
He finishes showering
then wraps a towel around his waist as he goes to the bathroom and combs out his hair
then puts on his suit, and then brushes his teeth And then he waits

He was fixing up his hair getting ready trying to look for the wedding coming up
Peter was excited but also nervous since he was worried about making a bad impression on her parents already more or worse her aunt
he couldnt believe how fast time goes and how he also couldnt wait to spend some time with MJ
you know slow dance with her kiss her hold her hand also for the food oh my god he's already remembered being ever invited to a wedding besides Tony's wedding but that was it prettymuch after that
He tries desperately to shut his brain off, but as he lays there on the bed, uncomfortable as hell so he doesn't wrinkle his suit, his mind is racing a million miles per second About MJ and what they did and her reaction and how awful this wedding will be if she's not fully there with him

it's not fair MJ has to go through that bottling in her emotions making herself like a robot for them
MJ used to have the ability to shut off all of her emotional capacity and become robot-like, and it used to make him feel incredibly alone but he wasn't anymore
It didnt take long when they were dating she was able to express it more so luckily he was able to make MJ feel like she matters loved and accepted more than her own parents' family even which is saying something so did May consider her mom more than her own mom
