The Continuation of no way home P6

Chapter 17

There's soft music playing from the speakers all around them and when the DJ sees the group arrive, he lets everyone know over the microphone that it's time to be seated which some already are

In just a few minutes when everyone's found their table, the music suddenly gets louder and everyone turns to look at the walkway

Anna and Jordan make their grand entrance now, everyone standing and cheering as they walk down the middle of the path to the dance floor, where everyone then quiets down as they have their first dance

 Anna wraps her arm around Jordan's bicep, smiling at her husband, and slow dances on the floor

It's the cliche wedding song "The Way You Look Tonight," but it's beautiful Peter and MJ can't help but smile too it also reminds him of their special moment someday MJ how they first  slow danced together before all their moments he will never forget them nether did MJ 

 "I want to start out this speech by thanking everyone that's come today," Kevin says, seeming nervous 

After the song ends they kiss, and everyone cheers and claps again, before Kevin gets the mic and gets ready for his speech

 Tommy smiles up at him as his deep voice echoes through the speakers

 Tommy squeezes his arm supportively with his brother to help his nerves

 becuase he knows how anxious his brother gets sometimes 

 Kevin tried to overcome his fears and try to go above his comfort zone mostly when it came to speaking or even just making small talk 

As most of you know now, I've had a problem with shyness and anxiety my whole life and  I've learned the hard way that it makes me come off as hostile or standoffish when really it's just nerves  This has made it difficult for me to do certain things like get through school, find a career, and especially have a good relationship and now I've graduated and finished college so right now I have my amazing girlfriend Amber Duckstein I love you baby Kevin said stating himself  and his life story basically 

 everyone cheered for him and there were some awes in the crowd 

  Amber was smiling feeling a little embarrassed that the attention is also centered on her  

But I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my brother Tommy and Gayle my mother because she has helped me more than I ever thought possible She didn't judge me or think of me as stuck up as most people have, and she gave me a chance to show her who I really am under all of it. And now, with her, I'm here giving this speech that I could have never given before I had her support but I couldn't be the happier boyfriend that I get to spend the rest of my life with you—my Beautiful Girlfriend Amber  Tommy said happily in his speech as there were cheers for it 

Then after that, it was Jordan's turn to make his announcement 

alright everyone let's hear a big round of applause to my Nephew in law lets's hear it this isn't some white concert let's make some noise Jordan said in excitement as everyone cheered loudly as it rang Peter's ears

The cheer was stopped then as Jordan still wasn't finished with what he had to say 

Jordan: im got to say that im honored that all of you are here Tommy Kevin Gayle Liam Madeline Libby Michelle and rest in peace Annas' best friend passed away a  year ago in 2024  May parker how hard her loss was but also Peter her nephew lose is a way of life challenging us and asking do we keep going after that the answer is yes always but I couldnt be happier to spend the rest of my life all of eternity with my wife anna I love her dearest and so do I have a love for her family so im here today all of you are and that's something meaning and a true honor and blessing 

Everyone around is smiling happily and there are even a few tears shed, but Peter's just in shock He realizes now that what happened how what happened to May wasn't his mistake isn't his fault it was something he was relieved that 

there were people who dont blame him for her death since Jameson his boss did and so did everyone else his haters were people who supported Jameson though 

Jordan was one of those people he wasn't and the worst part was her parents 

Liam still has a hatred for spiderman and so did Madeleine none of that is gonna change and they believe he was the one responsible for it he killed her but he didn't 

When Peter first met Tommy and maybe even Jordan, he did think they were a bit rude, standoffish, and snobby, but he isn't and he knows now that it was just nervousness, 

 Peter feels awful for misjudging him and hes was them to a lot of people tend to believe that about him as well

But Both he and Tommy, actually 

Yes, they're rich and that usually comes with a few irritating and condescending traits, but on this wedding, he's learned that they are overall decent people The best of the family, probably minus Madeline and maybe Libby so they are 

  Anna gives her speech then, talking about how much Jordan has helped her with so many things, and how happy she is to finally be marrying the love of her life then she ends the speech with, "Now let's eat!"

The music cuts back up again, and this time it's more upbeat as Anna and Jordan sit at the table closest to the dance floor, slightly apart from the rest of the guests 

Everyone's buzzing and talking now as they look down at the menus that are being passed out by servers

Peter realizes that he's never even been to a wedding besides his Friend Tony's and that's it but where do you order your food before

so that throws him off a little, but it's nice Fancy, but nice he thought to himself
