Oh this is uh the man you're uh setting with when your mom said you have a boyfriend i thought um he would be you know darker and uh taller but okay Libby said annoyed crossing her arms and looking at Peter and MJ with disapproval

Peter is just isn't phased by it he's heard that too many times from Madeline so hearing it from Libby wasn't any different he just was like ok why does that matter

MJ was just annoyed that her boyfriend can never be appreciated for the amazing guy he is peter may not be black or tall buts he's a good guy that's all that should matter

she fell in love with him becuase of his kindness his generosity his compassion for others

the way he just managed to make it impossible for her to get mad at him or even hate him

when she was sort of teasing and picking on him you know at first but he was still nice to her he just has a heart of gold

Exactly why does it matter so much that's all in the inside is what matters

well he is so get over it MJ said coldly which made her mom  mad

MICHELLE Madleine said in a low shout

geez i was just trying to be helpful Libby said annoyed to MJ

well honey is that you know your uh ladies' day is that why you're so uptight Gayle said concerned whispering only upsetting Michelle even more and leaving Peter confused

how dare she hated that every time she was upset or mad and had any negative emotions it was always pointed out by her period as if just wasn't allowed to feel that way just because she is

um how we sit down Peter said quickly trying to change the whole heated argument they had he didn't want any more of it plus he couldnt stand his MJ upset

okay MJ said with a little smile as Peter held her hand away

they went to a table together sitting there away from her mom and her aunts

"If I ever get married, I want it to be just like this," Peter said as he laughs, running his hands along the soft tablecloth as he passes it

yeah maybe someday they might be us you know MJ said with a little smile looking at Peter

yeah definitely who else would it be Peter said sarcastically rolling his eyes with a smile

I dont know your special girl MJ said quipping back

well good thing you already are Peter added with a smile

hey shelly can i talk to you Madeline said coldly grabbing her daughter's arm

um yeah Michelle said concerned

yeah what is about Peter said concerned stepping in not liking where this is going

mind your business boy this is between me and my daughter, not you stay out of it Madleine said defensively

Mom geez its fine Michelle said annoyed

WHY You always do this you put this boy everything else Madeleine said fed up angrily having everyone there staring at them

now look what you did you made me cause a scene in front of everyone Madeline said squeezing her arm

Mom stop it hurts MJ said lowly whispering upset at her mom as Peter quickly noticed and then steps in

Liam gestured for Peter not to step in but he didn't listen

you promised you won't embarrass me tonight and you did how dare you talk to my sister like that Her Mom said whispering at her angrily as Peter quickly took her away from her mom

what the hell she's just trying to defend me you have no right to do that to her Peter said madly to Madeleine as Michelle just tried not to cry

alright we'll talk about this after i cant with you inferring with our business Madeline said coldly to Peter

well, you no right you shouldn't let your sister talk to your daughter that way and I was an idiot to let it happen-

when all he earned was a slap on the face Peter just was stunned by it

take this somewhere else not on your sister's wedding day Gayle said annoyed to them as Madeleine just walked off

seriously that's all you care about my mom just slapped my boyfriend in the face MJ said coldly to her aunt Gayle

shhh Gayle said annoyed with MJ then she left to sit down somewhere

Michelle just starts crying like everything just popped out of her like a balloon bursted it it couldn't inhale more of it that's what it felt like as Peter quickly comforted by a hug he wrapped her as much as he could

He knew there wasn't much he could do but comfort was the best thing for her to know that he's trying that he cares for her

Hey it's okay Peter said in comforting matter rubbing some of her tears

I got makeup on you're suit MJ said upset

I don't care about that okay I'll just wash it off if you want I can take somewhere more private to talk it out whatever works for you okay Peter said symptomatic matter

Yeah that works for me  plus my mom will lecture me or my aunts I would like that so MJ said still upset as Peter just put his hand on her shoulder

He then took her to a secluded area somewhere to calm her down to talk it out since that's what she wanted so it was no problem for him

Okay MJ are you okay now or do you still wanna talk things out Peter said concerned

I don't know Peter I just feel like I mess things up all the time like I would always be a disappointment for everyone and my mom isn't afraid to let me know that MJ said sadly Crying even more

No no no don't say that you're not you will always be be more than that MJ you're amazing kind generous smart you mean the world to me like you're everything and you're mom is an idiot I'm sorry I shouldn't have called her that but she's wrong for not thinking so and for reminding you that I'm so proud of everything you do you work so hard and that's not fair you put me with it you deserve so much better Peter said caressing her face rubbing some of her tears

MJ smiled a little she never felt so lucky to have a guy like him having him mean so much for her

so what if she marries him one day at least she's with someone who doesn't make her feel so low of herself

she's reminded how much she's truly loved and accepted by him and sometimes a person is family doesn't make them automatically good they can be just by blood but not by heart
