Mery is currently sitting on the shelf on top of the fridge with a smile as the crystal gems were fighting some Centipeetles that were in the temple.
Mery: ( silently singing to self: ) That's right, I heard the story over and over again. Gee, it's swell to finally meet-
Steven opens the door, carrying the Cookie Cat freezer in his back.
Steven: Hey, guys, you won't believe this!
Steven was suddenly attacked by a Centipeetle. It roars at him and he screams. Amethyst wrapped her whip around it, and yanks it off of Steven.
Amethyst: 'Sup, Steven?
Pearl can be seen fighting off Centipeetles on the warp pad. Maggie was fighting the Centipeetles that were in Steven's room.
Mery: ( happily: ) Hi Steven-
Mery accidentally falls off the fridge and was caught by Garnet, who was fighting the Centipeetles in the kitchen.
Mery: ( giggles ) Again!
Garnet: ( placed Mery on her shoulder, blankly: ) I don't think so.
Steven: Awesome! What are these things?
Pearl: ( groans and lifts up a Centipeetle ) Ugh! Sorry, Steven. We'll get these Centipeetles out of your room. We think they were trying to get into the temple.
Maggie: ( Sarcastically, to Pearl: ) Oh, really? How can you tell, Mom? It's not like they are in our house.
Mery giggles while Pearl rolled her eyes at Maggie's sarcasm.
Steven: Aw. You don't have to get rid of them. They're really cool.
Mery: And cute! ( She added with a smile as she was sitting on Garnet's shoulder )
The Centipeetle that Pearl is holding spits acid onto the floor, dissolving it into a hole, which Steven and Pearl look in disgust while Mery looked at it with a smile and stars in her eyes.
Mery: Please, can we keep them! Or at least, let me keep them!
Maggie: They spit acid, Mery!
Mery: ( to Maggie, with her arms crossed: ) Nobody's perfect.
Amethyst poofs a Centipeetle and picks her nose.
Amethyst: Um, you guys? These things don't have gems.
Garnet: That means there must be a mother somewhere nearby. ( She said as she placed Mery on the kitchen counter )
A Centipeetle sneaks up from beside Garnet, which she quickly punches away. As Garnet does this, Mery sneakily climbed down the kitchen counter without anyone knowing and she quickly picked up one of the Centipeetles, which for some reason stopped acting aggressive when she picked it up like it was a cat. She quickly carried the Centipeetle behind the kitchen counter so no one would see that she was holding it, planning on keeping the Centipeetle as a pet.
Pearl: We should probably find it before anyone gets hurt.
Steven: ( excitedly: ) Oh! Oh! Can me and Mery come?! Can we?! Can we?!
