~Amelia's POV~

I was in a sticky situation. Wide, expectant eyes bore a hole into my skull as everyone was looking to me for answers. Throughout my time here, I've had mixed feelings about Grisha Jeager- mostly stemming from his controversial parenting style. However, all I wanted to do now was to revive him and give him a piece of my mind.

If Grisha was able to look into the future, he likely saw this scene unfold and decided it was time to reveal my true identity. I recalled the numerous times I almost let it slip that I was from another world. I was almost grateful that I didn't have to be the one to say it. On the other hand, I was mortified and completely caught off guard. How could I tell them now and potentially risk losing all of the friendships that I've worked so hard to foster? How were they supposed to trust me ever again?

There was also the situation of me being able to return home. I had assumed that there wasn't a way. I have been stuck in this world for almost six years now. I just had to follow my heart? What kind of bullshit was that?

I snapped back to my current situation. I needed time to process this information, and yet I had none. My voice remained lodged in my throat as I wracked my brain to give them some sort of explanation. My world fell beneath me as I took in the looks that everyone was giving me. The utter betrayal on their faces would be something that I wouldn't be forgetting any time soon. Especially, a certain someone's expression.

Levi looked volatile. His teeth were gritted, his jaw clenched and fury raged in his eyes. But what hurt my heart more, was the tinge of disappointment in them too. Levi was a closed-off person with a fear of losing those close to him. Even today he lost Erwin, undoubtedly one of the few people he had let into his heart. Then, the same day, he found out that I'd been lying to him from the start. What this meant for the future of our relationship, I didn't know. However, I doubted that Levi Ackerman would open up to me again for a very long time.

"I-I don't even know where to begin," I stuttered. I was met with a heavy silence- a fitting response. "I think that this is something that everyone should be around to hear." If I was going to come clean, everyone should be there to witness it. Plus, it would give me some time to collect my thoughts into something coherent.

A floorboard creaked as someone approached me. "We should get going then," Levi announced bitterly, walking straight past me and back up the stairs. My stomach dropped at his coldness.

"You aren't secretly Marleyan, are you? That would explain why you have strange abilities and why you knew so much more about this world than we did," Hange started to interrogate me, their hand reaching for one of their blades. I could hardly blame them for it. They did have a good point. Me being from Marley would make sense but I was from somewhere even more alien than that.

"No, I am not. I've never even set foot in their country or any other country in this world for that matter," I replied honestly. Just like them, I had only been on Paradis Island. I just happened to be transported here from another world.

"Well, that's a relief I suppose," they breathed out a sigh of relief and their hand relaxed. "But what exactly does it mean if you've never left this island? How did you get here from somewhere else without having been in another country?" I could tell that Hange was starting to get into their asking-a-million-questions mode so I had to stop them before we could never leave this dingy basement.

"All I'll say for now is that it was in a very strange way indeed."

By the time we returned to the rest of the Scouts, it was pitch black. Jean and Connie had already set up a campfire and were huddling together for warmth. Sasha and Armin were both fast asleep, no doubt exhausted. I quickly went over to Sasha and checked on her bandages. There was a small ooze of crimson but it wasn't anything life-threatening. I changed them as efficiently as I could with the scrutinising stares I was receiving.
