~Amelia~

"He knew that there were Titans in the Walls all this time and didn't tell anyone?" Eren barked in utter dismay.

"Yup, but we haven't been able to get anything out of him. He's kept his mouth shut tight," Hange threw their hands up in defeat. "However, the reason for coming with us is to experience the harsh reality. After witnessing all that suffering, will he be able to remain silent? I suppose we'll have to see." They crossed their arms and legs, leaning back in their seat.

Eren was so outraged that he got to his feet, slamming his hands down on the table that ran through the middle of the wagon. "No, no, no. If there's something you know, tell us!" He stood up from his seat. "Nothing is more important than ensuring humanity doesn't go extinct!" Eren's rage caused his blood pressure to rise, igniting a sharp pain in his forehead.

Mikasa's neutral expression shifted to one of concern. "Eren, calm down. You're not healed yet." She placed a caring hand on his shoulder and guided him back to his seat.

I felt Levi shift next to me, pulling something out of his pocket that I couldn't see from my angle. "There's more than one way to get answers out of someone." He pulled out a gun and pointed it at the priest. My eyes widened in surprise. "I may be injured and of little use right now, but watching one man doesn't take much." Since when had Levi been injured? Had it been when we were fighting Annie? I hadn't noticed that he had been hurt during the fight.

Hange sighed. "Threatening him won't work, Levi. Trust me, I've tried." They paused. "This man doesn't see any sense. It makes one wonder what information he possesses that could be more important than humanity itself?"

I knew Hange was directing that question at the priest, but I couldn't help but feel guilt rise in my throat. Truthfully, I wasn't much different from this priest. I may be far more compliant than him, but I was likely concealing much more information than this man knows. Information that could be vital to saving humanity.

I could feel bile rising in my throat and the heat evaporating from my body. This situation was all too overwhelming for me. All I wanted was to tell them everything I knew. However, I was blind to what was meant to happen next in the plot. What if my blabbing made everything turn for the worse? What if I became the reason for inflicting even more suffering on these people? For now, I would keep my mouth shut, withhold the information, and use it as my bargaining chip to manipulate Erwin into accepting my requests. Nevertheless, if I had to witness the suffering of many, was it worth keeping silent? That was a decision for future me to make.

---------------

We continued to ride in silence following Hange's threats to the priest. Everyone, including me, had much to ponder. Surprisingly, I was the first to break the silence.

"Hey, Eren," my voice captured everyone's attention.

"Yes, Amelia?" he looked perplexed about why I was speaking to him.

"I just wanted to ask how you were doing. I witnessed what occurred between you and Annie." Truthfully, I'd seen far more than just his altercation with her. I wondered if I should mention something to him. Not enough to reveal everything, just something to ease his thoughts. After all, I'd noticed how troubled his mind was. Honestly, I just wanted to unburden some of these secrets. To free myself a little. The hour or so we'd spent in silence felt torturous.

"I'm doing much better, thank you," he replied, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

"You know, I'm not sure if you recall when Annie crystallised herself, but I was present when it happened," I informed him, my words intriguing everyone on board.
