I always knew this day would come. The day I, Jamie Nicole Anderson, would be able to stay in an Ainsworth Resort suite.

Did I picture it happening in this exact way? No, but who am I to complain, I get to go to a fancy charity gala with a fine ass man, and I get to stay in a luxury hotel suite, some would say I hit the jackpot.   Initially, my plan was to enter the suite as if I come here often, you know so I don't look like I'm not used to anything. Yeah, that flew out of the window as soon as the elevator doors open and I got a peek at the amazing view from our floor-to-ceiling windows.

I expected the suite to match the rest of the hotel, white furniture, crystal chandeliers, and polished concrete floors. This room had a much warmer touch like someone wanted to feel like they were staying at home rather than at a hotel. Instead of polished concrete, the floors were hardwood, and the room was lit not only by the windows but by sconces along the walls. The furniture was still white but it was nearly as stark as the furniture downstairs. It was much cozier.

I left Cole in the living room to explore the rest of the suite. And maybe I should feel bad about that, but he's been here plenty of times, I on the other hand have barely seen past the lobby.

The bedroom was just as nice as the living room. A large four-poster bed sat in the middle of the master bedroom. Our bags sat on top of a bench at the end of the bed. I kicked off my shoes before stepping on the massive Moroccan rug that took up most of the floor. I didn't even want to know how much that thing costs.

I walked into the bathroom and was surprised by how similar it was to Cole's own bathroom. I guess I know where he got his inspiration from now. But this bathroom had one thing that Cole's bathroom didn't have, a claw foot bathtub. A deep one.

It's settled. I'm never leaving.

Melody and Destiny can handle the store. Trish can ship me my stuff. This is where I live now.

"Do you like it?"

I turned from where I had begun taking stock of how many expensive soaps I could stash in my bag to find Cole watching me in the doorway.

"I love it," I said, stepping out of the shower. I couldn't even be bothered to feel embarrassed by how cheap I must look. Everyone takes shit from hotels; rich, poor, and middle class, you'd be dumb not to.

Cole had kicked off his shoes as well and he now wore a pair of hotel slippers. I will be stealing those as well.

Standing on my tip toes and wrapping my arms around his neck, I said, "We should ask them to bring us more soap."

He raised a knowing brow. "How many have you put in your bag?"

I gasped at his accusation. "None!" Yet.

"Does your mother know you've turned to a life of crime?"

"Know? Who do you think taught me?" We are a family of hotel thieves. "And you're one to talk, you stole the entire design of your bathroom from here."

He lifted me up so my legs wrapped around his waist. "Once again you have no proof." Cole walked us backward until he could sit on the edge of the bed. I straddled him, my hands sinking into the thick hair at the nape of his neck. Cole's hands settled against my backside.

He began placing kisses up and down my neck. "I have a present for you."

"For me? Where is it?"

"You'll see tomorrow."

I sighed. "You and your surprises. One day I'm going to be the one surprising you."

"I look forward to it." I could feel him smiling against my neck. I let my eyes fall closed as he continued to kiss and caress me, being in his arms feels too good. I'll always kick myself for waiting this long to experience it.
