Chapter 17

Today was the party we decorated the garden and set up several tables with strawberry red colored cloth because that was the kingdom's color. We put a mix of Everglen's and Eternalia's popular snacks and we also put a mix of Everglen's and Eternalia's classical music. Stina barely helped us and barely came to the meetings, so she out of us all has the least information.

Soon all kings and Queens arrived, and the Vacker siblings trailed behind them. We all bowed to them and Clarette smiled at us. Well until her eyes laid on Stina's dress. She and her husband looked offended at the dress she was wearing.

I smirked to myself because if Stina went to the meetings she would know that only married women were allowed to wear white, her whole attire was white, the shoes, the dress, and her hair clip.

"Is there something wrong your majesty?" Stina asked.

"In our kingdom, only married women were allowed to wear white. And you wearing that dress is completely offending our culture," she said. Sally spoke up for Stina.

"Sorry your majesty, she'll change her wardrobe right away," Clarette put a hand to stop her.

"I'd like to hear it from her. You were all supposed to learn this, yes?"

"Yes your majesty," Stina answered.

"Then where were you?" Derek, the king asked.

"I was sick, so I couldn't attend the meeting," I saw Biana from the corner of my eyes snickering and looking amused by this.

"Sure," Clarette gave her a look that said 'I know you're lying.' Sally and Stina went inside the palace for a change of wardrobe and we continued. The classical music started playing and everyone started getting drinks and food. Fitz walked over to me because no one went over and talked to me.

"Great job, this looks great," I took a sip from my punch.

"Thanks."

"What happened with Stina earlier? I thought you all had meetings every day to learn the culture and traditions of Eternalia," he commented.

"She came to on but she didn't even pay attention, so I'd say she got what she deserved," I said.

"Why didn't she go to any of them?" I shrugged.

"Because she 'refused' to work with any of us. And she just wanted all the work to be done for her." I answered.

"That is the worst trait to have in a queen, or just anyone really," he said.

"So when's the next elimination?" he smirked.

"Why would you like to know?"

"Just curious," he rolled his eyes.

"By the way, my mom wanted to introduce you to Clarette," he grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the two queens.  I plastered a smile and curtsied because it meant that you show respect to the king and or queen.

"Clarette, this is Sophie Foster," Della introduced.

"I've heard quite a lot about you. You've created a lovely little party," I blushed.

"Thank you but it was a team effort," I said.

"Well I have to say that I love your dress," I blushed.

"Why thank you, my maids made it for me. They are very creative and talented girls," I commented.

"Della tells me that she predicts you'll be Everglen's next queen," Clarette said, I blushed.

"There are still 10 other girls in the selection, so it's hard to say-"

"Oh dear, don't be so modest. I've already chosen a place of venue for the wedding, and I have a few dresses in mind," she said, smiling. She turned to talk to Clarette.

"Oh, you should see them! They are the cutest couple," and Della continued rambling on about that and soon their conversation converted to wedding decorations. And that was when I excused myself so that I could save myself from the embarrassment.

"Sorry about my mom. She overreacts sometimes," Fitz said sheepishly.

"It's fine," I said. "Your mom only means well," Sophie said.

"I have to go to talk to the others. Catch you later," he kissed me on the cheek before going over to a group of selected. Biana appeared out of nowhere and scared me.

"Biana! Don't do that, you scared me," I said, a heart on my chest.

"You guys did a good job at the party. But I hope Stina knows that everything is being recorded," my eyes widened.

"What?" Biana nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?" The princess shrugged.

"I just found out after Stina's little incident," she said.

"And I heard there showing some of the recordings on The Report after tomorrow!" Biana said. "Stina's going to get so embarrassed."

"Why don't you like Stina?" I mean I don't like Stina, but I have my reasons. What were Biana's?

"Most selected girls act normal around me. Not like how they would in front of Fitz or my mom and dad. And I hear everything they say. Stina isn't a nice person and she acts very rudely to other selected and her maids. I see and hear everything and I'm not afraid to report it to Fitz. Honestly, I just think Stina's in here for fame, power, and money. And what happened earlier today, isn't how a future queen should act," Biana summarized. "So I hope she leaves because I have had enough of her." I'm glad that someone felt the same way as I did about Stina.

Soon Stina entered the party in a whole new different dress. It was sea blue and instead of a gown, it looked more like a cocktail dress. She walked over to the queens and it looked like she was apologizing but I had no idea.

(Mini Time Skip)

The party had been going on for two hours and I was tired and my feet ached. I was extremely bored well until I heard a little shriek. There I saw Queen Clarette with punch all over her dress and a selected in front of her, holding a cup. I saw Biana from the corner of my eye, snickering and I couldn't help but see Stina laughing quietly to herself.

"Oh, my god... I'm so sorry your majesty, I wasn't looking as to where I was going!" she quickly grabbed napkins and handed them to the queen.

"We'll go inside and get you cleaned up," Della said. The two queens made their way inside the palace.

"I'm starting to like this party," Biana squealed.

"Biana it's not funny," I said.

"That's your opinion. This party is a complete fail," I looked at her with a straight face.

"Oh no the party looks amazing I'm just saying that some girls really didn't act there best today," she explained.

"Yeah I get what you mean. I just want to get this over with and lay in my bed," I say. I yawned and covered my mouth. Fitz walked over to us and sat down in the chair next to me. he rested his head on his arm.

"I'm so tired," he whined.

"Oh shut up Fitz. I'm having the time of my life at this party."

"That's only because it's entertaining for you to watch Biana, while some of the girls are getting embarrassed on live TV and don't even know it," Fitz defended.

"They will when it's showed on the Report," Biana said, smirking. I rolled my eyes at the excited princess and sighed. And soon enough it was over and overall I think it went pretty well.
