I waited impatiently as the dress maker measured my waist, shoulder length, and arms. She got several colors of cloth and showed it to me.

"What would you prefer Miss?" she asked. I shrugged and chose the red one. She nodded and put all the other cloths away except the one I had chosen. After agonizing hours later the dress was completed. I looked at it in the mirror and it looked beautiful. It was simple but elegant. There small gems on it in the shape of a flower and it was sleeveless.

"Thank you. You work fast, but this is really beautiful," I complimented. She blushed and smiled.

"Thank you. You have fun at the ball tomorrow," I smiled and set the dress down and hugged her. She packaged it in some type of way (IDK what it's called) and I brought it to my bedroom, hanging it in the closet. Summer has been torturing us with lessons of how we should dance, posture, and how to act with others. I of course I already knew all those and it was boring to relearn it.

I haven't talked to Fitz in a while and I feel bad about it. I hope he doesn't think I'm trying to avoid him. I want to talk to him but it's been really hard to. And today's breakfast none of the royal family was present which I thought was really weird. And even after breakfast I didn't bump into neither of them in the hall.

(Time skip to the ball because I'm lazy)

I walked in the ball room with the other selected and the ball room looked amazing. There was a beautiful chandelier that hung from the ceiling. There were tables full of refreshments and snacks and there were several beautiful decorations hung around the room. We walked over to Summer who was standing in the center of the room, in a beautiful orange dress with spaghetti straps and reached her ankles.

"All right girls, remember what you learned. If you act poorly tonight that might get you eliminated. So keep your heads high tonight and enjoy!" And right as she said that villagers, relatives of the royal family, and friends started coming in. And the royal family out of nowhere started welcoming them. I walked over to Dex because he looked bored and I wanted to talk to a familiar face.

"Hey cuz," he greeted as he took a sip of his drink.

"Hey Dex. Do you know if my parents are here tonight?" I asked.

"Yeah, they were invited and I know they were planning on coming tonight so you should bump into them tonight. Here they come," I turned around to see my parents coming towards us and they both welcomed me into a hug.

"Oh sweetheart! We missed you so much!" Edaline said as we all broke apart.

"I missed you too," I say.

"So how's it been? I've been following The Report and I'm confused," I chuckled at Edaline's eagerness.

"I'll tell you later, don't worry," Grady grabbed Edaline's hand and pulled her close to him.

"We're going to go dance, we'll talk to you guys later," he said before dragging Edaline to the others that were dancing.

"So you want to dance?" Dex asked.

"Sure," we both walked over to the dance floor and danced until we were so tired we looked like we were about to pass out. Fitz had danced with almost all the girls except for me. And now it was time for the Royal dance. Fitz walked over to me and held out a hand.

"Care to dance?" he asked a playful smirk on his face. I grabbed his hand and he brought me to the dance floor where the royal family was getting ready to dance. I had a hand on his shoulder, he had a hand on my waist and then he had our hands clasped together. Della and Alden, Alvar and Biana were also in the same position.
