Beginning of something new

Julie's POV (Takes place on summer vacation)

I was just laying on my bed and listening to music when I heard banging on my door.

Carrie: WAKE UP JULIE! MAKE SOME BREAKFAST FOR US!

Julie: I'll be there in a minute.

Carrie: Well hurry up!

I guess I should explain myself. My name is Julie Molina. I live in LA with my evil stepmother and stepsisters.
Let me fill you in on what happened. When I was little, I had the best parents in the world. My dad was a famous photographer while my mom owns a music store. We were so happy together, but that all change when mom got sick. She always told me that music will always be there and when I sing, it'll be like she's there with me. She died when I was 10. I took it the hardest but I realized that music will keep her memory alive so I started to sing. Over the years, it's just been me and my dad. It was great until he got remarried to my stepmother Lillian. She's so cruel but not as much as my stepsisters, Carrie and Kayla. One day, my dad was going on a business trip to Brazil for a photography shoot but he died on a plane crash. I was devastated and instead of giving me sympathy, Lillian been giving me chores. And since then, I've been doing everything around the house: clean, cook, doing laundry, all of it. The only people who were there for me was Flynn and Willie. Anyway, back to the story.

Lillian: Julie!

Julie: Yes?

Lillian: Aren't you going to make breakfast?

Julie: Yes, I'll get right on it.

Lillian: Make us some French Toast, darling.

Julie: Yes, ma'am.

I made some French toast and I gave them some breakfast at their table. They made it very clear that I wasn't part of the family so they gave me a small table just for me.

I feel so special.

When we finished eating, I decided I was going to hang out with my friends. Like always they didn't care so I just left. I was making my way to the mall when I felt someone jumping on my back. Luckily it was just Flynn.

Flynn: Hey underachiever..

Julie: Hey Disappointment.

Flynn: Have you moved out of that deathtrap yet?

Julie: You know I can't.

Flynn: Come on Julie. Just come live with me. Lillian is just going to keep treating you like a servant. It's not fair for you. Your parents would have wanted you to be happy.

Julie: I know, Flynn. But even if I did moved out, Lillian is just going to guilt trip me into staying.

Flynn: Julie this isn't right.

Julie: I know, just two more years and I will move out and live with on our big mansion just like we always talked.

Flynn: Double Trouble will reign SUPREME!

Julie: Not our band name.

Flynn: I gave you a t-shirt in seven grade that will prove you otherwise so.

We laugh at our little joke and make our way to the mall to find Willie sitting on the chair looking at the phone. Me and Flynn took the opportunity to scare him. He sneak up on him and just as we were going to scare him, he started talking.

Willie: If you're thinking of scaring me that easily, you might as well forget it.

Julie: Oh come on.

Flynn: We almost did it.

Willie: How's your vacation going by the way?

Flynn: It's going alright. How's your mystery boyfriend doing Willie?

Willie: First of all, don't call him that. And second of all, he is doing just fine. We are going on another date this Saturday.

Julie: *squeals* I can't wait to meet him. He sounds amazing.

Willie: *blushed* Yeah he is.

We were walking around the stores and when we were about to leave, someone just ran into me and we both fell.

???: I'm so sorry. I didn't see you.

Julie: It's okay.

When I looked up, I saw the most hottest boy I've ever met. He had shaggy brown hair, a rush t-shirt, and beautiful hazel eyes I could get lost in. I've been staring for a bit so I need to say something. Like now.

Julie: So what brings you here?

Damn it, Julie.

???: Well, I was trying to buy a birthday present for one of my best friends but I was getting chased.

Julie: By who?

???: No one important.

Julie: Well I hope you find what your looking for.

???: Hey maybe you can help me? I've never had good style.

Julie: Sure follow me. What's your name, by the way?

???: Luke.

Me and Luke went to a nearby store and we found an amazing leather jacket that his friend will like. He paid for it and we sorta just talked. It was great until I got a phone call.

Julie: Sorry. I have to take this.

Luke: It's fine.

*Phone call*

Julie: Hello?

Lillian: Where have you been?

Julie: I was with my friends.

Lillian: Well get your butt here. I need you to do the laundry while me and the girls are out. Spoiler alert: you're not invited.

Julie: Can't I just take a break?

Lillian: No you can't. Because who's going to do the cleaning around here. You're father will be very disappointed if you don't do as I ask. So what's it gonna be?

Julie: *sighs* Fine I'll be there.

Lillian: Splendid. Be here in 10 minutes.

Julie: Yes ma'am.

She hunged up and I was so close to crying. I don't want to do this anymore. I turned back to Luke who was giving me a look.

Luke: Hey, you okay?

Julie: I'm sorry, Luke. But I need to go.

Luke: Oh okay. Do you want me to drive you?

Julie: No it's okay.

Luke: You sure?

Julie: Yeah.

Luke: Maybe we can meet up sometime again.

Julie: I'm sorry but I can't. My stepmom will be very angry with me.

Luke: Can I at least get your name?

Julie: It's probably best if you don't know. Bye Luke.

I ran out of the mall and made my way to my house. I had to brush away the tears forming in my eyes and walk in. I saw Lillian, Carrie, and Kayla getting ready to go out.

Lillian: Good you're here. I left you a list of things to do while we are out on the table. And I forgot to mention that you need to iron our dresses for an upcoming fashion show.

Julie: Yes ma'am.

Carrie: Don't forget to rearrange my clothes from comfy to stylish.

Kayla: And make sure you fix my Dirty Candy outfit.

Carrie: And fix our wigs. We need to look amazing if managers are going to notice us.

Julie: I'll get right on it.

Lillian: Good. We'll be back by 10.

Then they shut the door. I was left all alone in this house. I looked at the list and it was completely long. But what else is new. I got out my cleaning supplies and started working till I dozed off while working.
