Leaving Part 2

Julie's POV

Julie: I have to go.

Luke: Wait what?

Julie: I'm sorry but I really have to go. I had an amazing time with you Luke, but if I don't go now I'll be in big trouble.

Luke: What do you mean?

Julie: I can't tell you that. I have to go.

I started running like my life depended on it. It was hard to run in heels but I can't focus on that right now. I can hear Luke's footsteps running after me and I couldn't stop running.

Luke: Wait!

I kept running until I got back to the party. I pushed through the crowd and as I'm doing that, I bumped into someone holding a drink. It was Carrie.

Carrie: Are you serious?! Do you know how much this cost?

Julie: More than your college tuition.

I moved past her leaving in the most shocked expression I've ever seen. I was secretly smiled to myself for standing up to Carrie like that. I'm still pushing my way to the exit until I heard Luke again.

Luke: Wait, come back!

I finally made it outside and I was running down the stairs when I felt my mask fall down. I went back upstairs and try to reach it but I heard Luke again.

Luke: Wait! Come back! I just want to talk!

I looked up at him for a split second until I started running again. When I started to run, I felt something slip but I didn't have time to realize what it is. I started running to the limo, which was surprisely still there, and jumped into the back sit.

Julie: Drive!

And just like that, he started driving. I turned around and through the back window, I saw Luke catching his breath and stopped running. I turned around and saw that the time was 11:57 pm. Home is only 5 minutes away and we're not going to make it. The next thing I know is that it's midnight and the driver stopped the car.

Driver: Sorry miss, I have to drop you off right here. Times up.

Julie: I would like to argue but I can't. Thank you.

I got out of the and with a blink of an eye, my beautiful purple turned back into my mother's destroyed blue dress. I started walking until I tripped over a rock and my phone flew out of my pocket. (There's pockets in the dress.) And once it hit the ground, I saw my screen cracked.

Julie: Ugghhh. Great, it's broken now.

I stood up and grabbed my phone from off the ground. I kept walking till I got home and everything was the same. I went up to my room and changed into something comfy and lay on my bed. I couldn't stop smiling because of Luke. He's amazing. I don't know why people think so different of him. All I know is that Luke is perfect. I was about to close my eyes when I heard the front door slammed opened. I walked downstairs and saw Carrie pacing angrily.

Carrie: I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PURPLE FREAK STOLE LUKE PATTERSON FROME ME!!!! I WAS TRYING TO ASK HIM OUT BUT HE SAW THAT GIRL AND IT WAS LIKE HE WAS DRAWN TO HER. ARGHHHH.

Julie: What's going on?

Lillian: Nothing you should be concerned of, Julie.

Kayla: SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! I WAS MAKING SOME CONVERSATION WITH REGGIE UNTIL JULIE'S FRIEND CAME AND TOOK HIM AWAY!!!!

Lillian: Calm down, girls. We'll think of something. All we need to do is convince them to make you girls famous.

I wasn't listening. I just went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to get a snack. While I was doing this, I was humming the song me and Luke sang. But I stopped when Lillian saw me.
