Julie's POV

*2 weeks later*

I was walking home from Flynn's house to talk about her date with Reggie. Apparently, she saw him in trouble with Kayla and he was so grateful that he asked her out. She was freaking out on what to wear for her date and I had to help her. Once she saw Reggie in the driveway, she immediately raced out. I went over to her living room window and saw Reggie and Flynn do small talk. But I saw Reggie looking my way and I just closed the curtains. Hopefully he didn't see me. Anyway, when I arrived home, I saw the mailman putting our mail in the mailbox. When he left, I went straight towards it and got the mail out. I kept going through it when I saw my name on one of them. I opened the letter and it was from the manager who represents Sunset Curve.

As I kept reading, I was jumping with joy and excitement. I'M IN THE TOP 10!!! I ran inside the house, still squealing, when I saw Carrie and Kayla sitting on the couch watching TV.

Carrie: What got you so happy?

Julie: Oh uh, nothing. Just really happy the mail is here.

Kayla: Weirdo.

I put the letter behind my back and placed the rest of the mail on table. I went upstairs and got out my song journal to write down new lyrics. As I was working on them, I heard someone knocking at my door. I quickly put away my journal and asked the person to come in.

Lillian: Hello dear.

Julie: Oh, hi Lillian? Was there something you need me to do?

Lillian: Oh no darling, I just want to talk to you.

Julie: Oh okay. What about?

Lillian: I need a favor.

Julie: Sure, what is it?

Lillian: I need you to write Dirty Candy's next song. I know we haven't been very eye to eye when it comes with music but you are the best one in the family.

Julie: Oh uh sure. What are you thinking?

Lillian: I was thinking of something like popularity and maybe had the word "Wow" in it.

Julie: Anything else?

Lillian: Nope that's it. By the way, when is that locket coming back?

Julie: Oh uh... Willie is still fixing it.

Lillian: I see. Get working on that song. And when your done, make something to eat for us.

And she walked away. Thankfully. Why was she getting suspicious all of a sudden? I just hope she didn't saw the letter. I began working on the song for Lillian and once it's done, I went downstairs and gave it to her.

Lillian: This is amazing. Now all we have to do is choreograph it and we'll ready for the competition.

Julie: What competition?

Lillian: Oh Julie, sweet innocent naive Julie, Dirty Candy is in the Top Ten of the Sunset Curve competition. And we need this song to be in 1st place.
