The Performance: Part 1

Narrator's POV

The lights were going on the stage and everyone was clapping and waiting on the host to present himself. The judges were sitting down on their chairs and were waiting to be announced. Just then, the lights went over to the left side of the stage and the host of the contest appeared. It was none other than Nick Cannon.

What's up everybody! I'm your host Nick Cannon and today we are going to figure out who will be the next big star or stars in this big competition. But before we get started, I like to introduce our judges. We have one of the most famous talent agents in LA, give it up for Andi Parker. Next we got a famous director and producer, give it up for Kenny Ortega. Last but not least, we got a very funny comedian and he was one of the judges of the hit FOX show The masked singer. He is a personal friend of mine. Give it up for the one and only Ken Jeong.

Everyone stood up and clapped for the amazing judges. Once they sit back down, Nick Cannon was reading off of a card to introduce the first contestant but while he was doing that, Julie was texting her friends to come backstage. Alex and Reggie went over to security to explain that a few more people are coming through backstage. Then a few minutes later, Flynn and Willie walked back stage and went to Julie's dressing room.

Flynn: Hey Julie, we're here.

Julie: Thanks for coming you guys.

Willie: Anything for you, Jules.

R and A: Flynn?!/Willie?!

Julie: Yeah I forgot to mention that Flynn and Willie are my best friends.

Willie: Hey Alex.

Alex: *blushing* Hey.

Flynn: Hey Reg.

Reggie: Hello beautiful.

All four of them gave each other googly eyes until Julie and Luke cleared each others throats to get their attention.

Flynn: Right, back on track. Willie, try to stall Carrie and Kayla while I get Julie ready.

Willie: Got it.

Alex: Reggie, go with Willie and try to use your charm on the purple girl in Carrie's group. She has a soft spot for you.

Reggie: Do I have to?

Flynn: I don't want that creep hanging out with my boo!

Alex: It's the only way to get them distracted.

Flynn: Fine. But if she kisses him, I'm coming for you.

Alex: Noted. Me and Flynn will get Julie ready. I'll do wardrobe, Flynn will do hair and make up.

Julie: Are we really doing this?

Luke: Yeah we are. You have nothing to worry about.

There was a silence between them and they stared into each others eyes for a few minutes until Luke clears his throat.

Luke: Hey guys, can me and Julie talk for a bit?

Alex: Yeah, we'll be outside if you need us.
