The encounter of a lifetime - Charles Lerclerc

Chapter 39

This week we kept it pretty simple. We stayed at home, Charles trained and I studied because my exams are coming up. But tomorrow we leave for Switzerland! We are going to Verbier for a week with the other pilots.

I prepare my suitcase with everything necessary. Of course, I take tons of outfits and makeup to make myself look gigantic when we go out, I also take my best swimsuits for the heated swimming pool that we have in the villa. One of the advantages of going on vacation with lots of pilots who have huge salaries is that you don't have to pay a lot. I insisted on paying for part of the accommodation, even though I know that's not the amount I should have actually paid, but that way at least I don't feel like I'm taking advantage of them.

I go by car with Charles. We have to go to my house in Switzerland to take my skis and other snow gear that my parents have kindly brought down from our chalet. Then we will join the others at our meeting place before going up the mountain.

Arrived at the meeting place I'm really happy to see the girls again. The guys also obviously, but I'm really happy to have made new girl friends. We decided to make a car with only girls and let the guys ride between them. Luisa takes the wheel, with me as co-driver by her side. The girls named me co-driver because "I know the Swiss mountain roads". We put the music on and we have an atmosphere like never before, it's really too funny.

Katerina: Emma do you remember the story we did on the 31st?
Emma: Yes why?
Katerina: The f1 gossip account I subscribed to reposted it and said, I quote "it seems that Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc are spending the new year alongside several girls including their respective girlfriends. But we can notice that Lando Norris is not present while his girlfriend, Luisa, was at the party. Would there be water in the gas between the two lovebirds? ".
Luisa: These accounts really invent unbelievable lives for us. Because Lando is not on a story directly we broke up.
Katerina: Yes I know it's horrible, but I prefer to take it as a joke, otherwise it eats you up.
Emma: What's the account name? I want to go see what she says?
Katerina: It's "gossip_f1" (**random name**). You'll see there's a lot of stuff about you and Charles.

I grab my phone and go take a look at this famous Instagram account.

I hallucinate. I knew there were accounts of gossip about formula one but not to this extent. People really make movies. I scroll a little more to see what is being said about me and Charles.

I see that all the photos/story of Charles and I have been reposted. Whether it's his instagram or mine. But reading the comments I see that the comments are rather positive about our couple. Obviously I see the photo of me with my pregnancy test and this famous pregnancy rumor. It brings back bad memories, but I quickly pass the photo.

I reassure myself by telling myself that overall there is only positive on this account about me. I quickly read a few things about my friends and noticed that some of the girls were less liked than others by the fans. I think it's more jealousy than anything. I put my phone down and continue my karaoke with the girls all the way to the chalet.

Arrived at the top we discover the chalet which is just incredible. It is huge and super beautiful, very modern but made of wood. We all race to select the best room. They all stop at the first rooms while I run to take the back room. It is very large and has a large bathroom so I quickly call Charles who validates the room. It's decided it will be ours for the trip.

Once the suitcases have been emptied, we all go down to the living room to have a little aperitif. We had obviously done some shopping before going up and so we are equipped. We take out a bottle of wine, dried meat, cheese, pickles, in short enough to make a Valais plate, a typical dish from Valais (Swiss canteen) where Verbier is located. The atmosphere is truly amazing. Everyone laughs together and appreciates each other and it's rare when you're such a big group.

Daniel: Well I don't want to say but I'm a bit of a ski pro so tomorrow watch out for yourself.
Emma: That's what you say there and I'm sure you're going to be really bad at it.
Pierre: Are you aware that surfing and skiing are not the same thing?
Daniel: That's it criticize. We'll see tomorrow.
Alex: I think Emma is going to be the strongest.
Emma: No I really don't.
Alex: But if you've been skiing for a long time.
Emma: But Charles also skis often, same for Pierre. I'm not saying that I can't ski well, but I'm far from a pro.
Charles: She says that and then she'll all smoke you like she smoked me at the kart.
Emma: Oh baby I know it hurt your heart when I passed you but don't worry it's fine.

Everyone laughs and makes fun of Charles who was overtaken at the kart. In revenge for the fact that I told this story Charles tickles me which makes me jump and let out a small cry. Which makes the others laugh even more. Really we are a team of broken arms.

We decide to have a little fondue tonight. I'm the one who prepares it to make them discover a bit of the culture of my country. We all sit at the table and enjoy our meal. I have a feeling this vacation is going to be amazing.
