— ACT TWO OF THREE —
SHE LOVES ME, SHE LOVES ME NOTchapter seventeen | cut deep
* editedSADIE led out a scream as Daryl popped her ankle back into place. "Oh goddamnit. . . Fuck you!" She screamed.
Daryl covered her mouth quickly, fearful of any roamer that might be passing by. The last thing they needed was another herd to pass through.
While Sadie collected herself, Daryl ripped the sleeves off of his, and her, flannel. He tied the pieces together and wrapped them around the arrow that was lodged in his side.
The young woman stood on her good leg while Daryl analyzed the situation. He looked over at Sadie, noticing a deep gash in her forehead. He cut a piece of her flannel once more and tied the material tightly around her head.
"That should help." He muttered, hoping that the blood wouldn't seep through the makeshift bandage.
Sadie didn't say much of anything else as Daryl and her climbed back up to the hill to flat ground.
"Keep moving, Dixon." Sadie heard Daryl mutter to himself. If any other situation, she would have made fun of her older brother.
However, any motivation helped her get over the canyon and back onto a solid, flat plateau.

SHE slapped him.
Unfortunately, that hadn't worked either. Her brother was in an unconscious state, mumbling about their older brother, Merle.
"Merle's not fucking here!" She shouted, hitting his arms and chest. Having enough, she sat back and let herself take a breath.
She took a few deep breaths, in attempt to calm herself down. The makeshift bandage that Daryl had tied around her head had been long gone. Cuts and bruises were already forming on her skin from the fall they took together.
Just a minute, she told herself. That's all she could allow. A minute of rest, and that was it.
Her minute lasted longer than the normal sixty seconds. She passed out from exhaustion, not to mention dehydration. The Georgia heat was not one to be reckoned with.
Almost an hour or so later, Sadie immediately shot up from the ground as low moans and growls could be heard from around her.
She turned around and saw Walker's heading towards her. She pulled herself up from the ground and began searching the lake water for her gun.
The crossbow that belonged to her brother was the first thing she came across. Seeing as she didn't know how to use it, Sadie threw the weapon to the side.
Finally, as the Roamer's began making their way towards her and the unconscious man, Sadie found her gun.
Almost immediately she shot all six of them down. And, as if timing was perfect, Sadie noticed another Walker at Daryl's feet. The man finally came to, and sat up. Daryl began kicking away at the Walker, a few loud yelps leaving his lips. Sadie's eyes widened. She raised her gun once more, and took the shot.
