"Pained scars and savior Sephora.."
~°~•~°~•~°~•Voices filled my ears as pain filled my back. I couldn't open my eyes nor could I understand what was happening as I was dragged by my arms. It felt familiar as my lower body endured the brutal steps hitting my legs. My dress would surely be filthy after such treatment...
Pain throbbed through my left cheek as my eyes opened to see green eyes glaring at me. "It's about time... You are such an annoyance... Why must you make my life so difficult?! Father is displeased with me and it's all your fault!!!" I gasped as Snape punched me in my stomach. The knights holding my arms braced me as Snape hit me again. After the third hit I tasted iron on my tongue as I coughed up a little bit of blood. "Now then..." Snape smirked in delight as he ran a hand through his hair. "I'd enjoy making your last days miserable but I have not been given that privilege..."
The knights began to drag me as Snape began to walk down the steps again. The pain was enough to make me empty my stomach of what little I had eaten. Sadly Snape was covered in it as I went limp in the knight's hold. Curses flew from Snape as he gagged in disgust. "Take her to the dungeon!", Snape screamed.
My head felt hazy as if a cloud filled my mind as I struggled to breath. The men hastily ran down the steps as if they feared that I'd do it again. It's not as if they'd clean it up... They must be squeamish to sickness. Lousy men... My body was suddenly tossed as the sound of a metal door closing filled my ears. Pain filled my head as the wet stones cradled me.
Everything blurred as a warmth pooled around my head. It felt thick yet thin and sticky. I felt my eyes close for a moment as the pain faded away. Opening them a small movement caught my attention as it moved out of sight.
"You look dreadful... I did warn you but it appears that it fell on deaf ears." Ah... Of course he would appear now... "Do I sense a snide remark? No... You wouldn't stoop so low after my warning...would you? After all I've done for you?" Jack laughed dryly as he sat in front of me. "I wouldn't blame you if you felt anger towards me... I'm not a man who should be trusted easily... Now what did Ellis tell you about me?" Chills ran down my back as his eyes glowed bright red.
"..." He already knows what was said. Why must I repeat it is unclear. Regardless of what he thinks, Ellis was vague about him so I know nothing important. I just wish to rest now and await my death... Caspian will not save me nor will anyone else...
"...You are no fun... I will not allow Quincy to kill you. Ellis was speaking the truth when he said that I have plans that require your assistance. If you wish to await death then you will wait a long time. As for Caspian... He is a nuisance that will cause me trouble... I'll deal with him once I have what I need..."
"What is it that you want? What purpose do I have in gaining what you desire?" This man is more than a bounty hunter... He has truly lost his sanity!
"You will know once the time has come and I am not the only one who shall gain anything... You will gain something as well... All you must do is follow your path until we meet in the waking world..."
Waking world? "What world is that?"
"It is the place we come from. Did you not realize that you're in a deep slumber?" I stared at him dumbfounded but as I tried to move I felt weighed down. "Don't strain yourself." Jack chuckled as I huffed.
"Explain something to me... Before I left Albertine I saw you but I was awake yet you claim to only be visible while I sleep. Not only that but how can one possess the ability to visit one while they slumber?" How far have I fallen to even consider this "thing" to be alive...?
