"'Cause we'll never be wrong, together we can take it to the end of the line. Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time. I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark, we're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks. I really need you tonight!"

Jane's pov:
I sat back on dad's bed, looking at Mike, waiting for him to start talking about whatever he wanted to talk about. He was looking everywhere but at me.
"So?" I asked, crossing my arms impatiently.
"I did lie when I said I love you, but I was also lying to myself about that. I was trying to convince myself I love you because I really liked you, but only platonically," Mike let out, I nodded, nothing new.
"And the reason I could never love you was because I was in love with someone else," Mike sighed, as if that wasn't obvious enough, I'm even sure I can guess who the 'someone else' is.
"Is it Will?" I asked, Mike looked at me in shock.
"Can you read minds too?" Mike asked, I just laughed, shaking my head.
"No, you're just not really good at hiding it," I said, so I was really right all along, but there's still something else I need answered. "Does he know?" I asked, Mike looked down, his face turning pink, I gasped. "Oh my gosh! He does and he likes you back!" I squealed, getting up to hug Mike.
"You're not mad?" Mike asked in confusion, I shook my head.
"Mad? No, I'm happy for you. A little disappointed? Kinda, but mostly happy for you two," I said with a shrug, Mike let out a sigh of relief.
"Also, can you keep it to yourself, we kinda thought it would be better not to tell anyone," Mike mummbled, I nodded, motioning the 'my lips are sealed' gesture. Mike smiled, I gave him a smile back.
"One more thing, Micheal, hurt him and you're dead," I said, giving him my best glare, Mike swallowed in fear, I smiled. "Now, go greet the others," I said, gesturing at the closed door.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Mike turned to me again, I nodded.
"Yeah, I'm sure. We weren't a match, and now I know why," I said with a smile, Mike yet again smiled back.
"I'm surprised Hopper didn't come barging in to tell us to keep the door open yet," Mike joked, a little mischevious idea popped up in my head.
"Dad, I'm alone in a room with Mike and the door is closed!" I called out, Mike's eyes widened in fear as I started laughing. Soon the door did open, dad looking inside with a smile.
"Very funny," dad laughed, I gave off a shrug while Mike looked relieved that dad isn't going to hurt him.
"I broke up with him a long time ago anyways," I said with a shrug walking out of the room to greet the others. Dad followed me and soon even Mike left the room to get into a talk with Nancy and Argyle.
We all talked for hours, everything was okay now. We saved Hawkins yet again, Joyce was tempting to move to California again, but dad was in all means against it, so we're all staying here. The feeling of victory made me happy, but a part of me was still a little pesimistic since no matter how many times we win, the upside down somehow keeps on coming back. But for now everything is perfect, Max is coming back in a few weeks and finally everything will go back to normal, normal.. hopefully. I believe it's all gonna be alright, it's just bound to get better from now on. Mike looks really happy when he's with Will, and I guess I like him better as a friend anyways. Everything is perfect.

Lights /Stranger Things\
Fanfiction-takes place during season 4 and after- I just didn't like the California group storyline, so I decided to rewrite it the way I'd like it. Plus add my take on season 5 (or at least a part of it), and give everyone the happy ending they deserve. ~~~...
