"You have to show them that you're really not scared. You're playin' with your life, this ain't no truth or dare. They'll kick you, then they'll beat you, then they'll tell you it's fair. So beat it, but you wanna be bad."

Jane's pov:

After we saw the upside down particles, dad called in the rest of the people who knew about the upside down and we're all now sitting in the living room, Mike's mom and younger sister are also here, no one told me why. I thought maybe we could call Kali as well, but I had no idea how to contact her.

"So, technically we would need a twenty, if it's like D&D, which seems likely," Dustin said, Mike and Lucas gave him a look.

"But this is not like D&D," Mike said, crossing his arms.

"You little shits remember what happened last time someone tried to pull a 'D&D'?" Steve gave them a glare, specifically meant to Dustin, they looked down.

"But it would make sense," Dustin protested.

"It would, but everyone else is dead. Except Kali," I added, everyone looked at me to explain, "My sister, but I'm not sure how we could get her to come."

"We'll look for her," dad said, giving me a smile, I nodded.

"But it's gonna get dangerous around here," Joyce continued, looking over to the other side of the room where Will and Mike's younger sister Holly were totally ignoring us by drawing something.

"So, can we send our kids somewhere safe?" Mrs. Wheeler asked, Joyce looked over at Murray Bauman.

"I could take them to my house in Illinois," Murray said, looking over at Mrs. Wheeler.

"Yeah, Erica's going too," Lucas stated, Erica gasped, looking at him with a frown. "No debate," he added as Erica opened her mouth to say something, she closed it again and crossed her arms.

"So, when can you leave?" Mrs. Wheeler asked.

"Whenever. Right now if you asked," Murray replied, Mrs. Wheeler nodded.

"Alright, so you take the girls and Will?" Joyce asked, I looked over at her.

"Sure," Murray nodded, looking over at Will and Holly.

"And Michael too," Mrs. Wheeler added, Mike gasped.

"What? No one else has to," Mike protested.

"Michael, I said so. Take care of your sister," Mrs. Wheeler said, Mike crossed his arms and began arguing with his mother, I walked over to Will and Holly.

"Did you hear? Your moms want to send you to Illinois with Murray," I told them, Holly tilted her head in confusion.

"Why?" Will asked, looking over at Joyce who was now also talking to Mike.

"Because they want you safe, Mike and Erica are going too," I explained, Will nodded. "But if you told them, maybe you could stay too," I added, hoping Will's going to agree.

"No, it's fine. I don't want to get involved any more. I believe in you," Will gave me a smile, I let out a sigh. So, he will really keep it to himself, then.

"What about the time travelling idea?" I asked, Will looked down.

"I'm not even sure if I could do that, so until I know how exactly to do it, I'll leave it to you," Will said, forcing a small smile. I just nodded, giving him a hug.

"Alright, kids. You ready to go?" Murray walked over with Mrs. Wheeler following.

"Holly, you'll leave with this man now, okay?" Mrs. Wheeler said, kneeling down next to her daughter. "Mike is going with you, so you don't have to worry about anything. If you were scared to talk to someone, just tell Mike," she added, Holly nodded still looking confused.

We walked them to the car. Lucas, Dustin, Mike and Will shared a group hug, wishing each other good luck, Nancy then forced Mike into a hug, but he didn't hug her back, Jonathan and Will too shared a hug and Will told Jonathan to be careful which Jonathan agreed to. Lucas and Erica shared an awkward handshake something, I just gave Will a tight hug, he told me it's going to be alright and then they all got in the car. Murray at the driver's seat, Mike at the passenger seat, Erica in the middle back, Holly on her left and Will on her right. They all waved at us and we were waving back until we couldn't see them anymore.

"So, about this 'Kali' you were talking about earlier," dad started, I turned to him to begin explaining my journey few years back.
