Jane's pov:

After exploding the helicopter and watching it fall to the ground I heard someone call out my name, I turned to see Mike running towards me, he pulled me into a hug, I hugged him back.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked, looking me up and down in worry.

"I'm fine," I replied with a smile, his eyes wondered somewhere behind me, I turned as well, seeing Will smiling at me. Mike helped me get up and I ran over to Will, we hugged tight as well and the same exchange like with Mike went down as well while Will was concernedly looking at the collar Brenner put around my neck and then it unlocked and I could take it down, I looked at Will, but he shook his head and we both turned over to Brenner. I let go of Will and walked over to Brenner. I wasn't willing to listen to what he had to say, but I held his hand as I watched him die, again.

I walked back to the van, hugging Jonathan as well to have him ask if I'm okay as well, Argyle was still sitting in the van looking zoned out, but he kinda always does, so.

"We should probably get out of here," Jonathan stated, opening the back door for us. Mike got in, I followed and Will right after me. Jonathan got to the driver's seat and we started driving.

"We need to get back to Hawkins or they are going to die," I said, remembering what I saw.

"Who?" Will asked, Mike and Will were staring at me wide-eyed, Jonathan was glancing at me in the back mirror.

"El, who's gonna die?" Will asked again, oh yeah, I didn't answer yet.

"Max and the others," I said, "Nancy, Steve, Dustin," I continued, Jonathan nearly stopped the car at the mention of his girlfriend's name.

"How far is the closest phone booth?" Jonathan asked, Mike got what I assumed was a map from somewhere and started staring into it.

"Hour and half south," Mike quickly said, looking back into the map. Jonathan turned the car and began racing to the oposite direction. I hang my hand into Will's at the sudden change of directions, Will squeazed my hand back and we stayed like that until we adjusted to the speed. Mike and Argyle were holding onto the door handles.

still Jane's pov:

We arrived at the nearest gas station and Jonathan spent several hours trying to find us at least one free seat to Indiana, everything was full. I suggested I can go into Max's mind through the bath, so now we're in a Surfer-boy Pizza shop, getting everything ready. Mike across from me, seeming like he wants to say something, but instead he just started joking about the glasses.

"Are you giggling? I know you're giggling because I look good," Mike said, he really was a dork.

"Mike," I said, taking the glasses off his face, he gave me a smile.

"El, I-" Mike started, but at that point a pizza slice landed in front of him and another in front of me.

"Recharge battery for the mind fight," Argyle said with a smile, kneeling next to Mike's chair.

"What is this?" Mike looked at the pizza suspiciously while I took a bite. That tasted good, and I think Argyle could tell I really liked it.

"Good?" Argyle asked, I nodded.

"You think it's good?" Mike asked, seeming weirded out.

"Yeah, did you try it?" I asked, this is one of the best foods I have ever eaten, not better than waffles though.

"Try before you deny," Argyle said as I picked up Mike's slice and tried to feed him the pizza.

"Try before you deny," we repeated with Argyle over and over while trying to force Mike to at least take a bite of the pizza.

"The bath is ready," Jonathan said as he opened the kitchen door with annoyed face, Will was standing behind him. Me, Mike and Argyle got up and followed them into the kitchen to get ready for the final fight. I wonder what made Jonathan so angry, though.
