Adora knocked on the door that lead to the room Mercelyn, Bow and Glimmer were in and started reading an invitation out loud,
"uh, hey, guys, I got an invite to the All Princess Ball, Winter Wonderland. do you know what this is?"
Mercelyn opened the door, both Bow and Glimmer started yelling,
"Princess Prom! Princess Prom! Princess Prom! we are going to Princess Prom!"
"okay, you've gone crazy, got it. I'll just come back later." Adora turned around, ready to walk back to her room, she then got pulled back inside by Mercy.
"if you leave me here I'll kill you." the officer stated.
the blonde looked at the girl's tired eyes and noticed she hadn't slept all night.
"you okay?"
"no."
"the ball is a meeting for all the princesses of Etheria." Bow started explaining.
"and a giant party! dancing, food, fancy dresses." Glimmer twirled Adora and dipped her.
"dancing?" Adora asked, absolutely terrified.
"I am so glad that I'm not invited." Mercelyn stretched her arms and relaxed a bit.
"it only happens once a decade. I've been waiting years for this!" Glimmer happily said.
"uh, I'm only a princess sometimes, so are you sure I should even go?" Adora asked.
"of course you have to go." Mercelyn teased.
"oh yeah. it's all in the invite." Bow unraveled a long scroll and Adora picked it up.
"okay. "rules for greeting the hostess. expected curtsy depth? proper stair descending etiquette"?" she chuckled while reading the scroll.
"the ball has been going on for centuries. there's a lot of really old etiquette stuff you gotta do before you can party." Bow informed her.
Glimmer clapped her hands and smiled widely,
"but it's gonna be so fun! and Princess Frosta is hosting it this year in the Kingdom of Snows! her magic is incredibly powerful. she'd be a huge get for The Rebellion!"
Adora whimpered as she sat down on the couch.
"don't worry! I'll be with you and so will Bow since he's going as my plus one! and Merc can go as your plus one." Glimmer winked after stating the last part. Adora blushed slightly at the idea.
"you want me to go?" Mercelyn asked, her eyes wide.
"uh actually--" Bow got cut off by Glimmer.
"together, the four of us can handle anything."
"if you really think I'm going to agree to go to a party full of princesses, you're wrong." Bright Moon's officer spoke.
"about that..." Bow got cut off yet again,
"it's the best friend squad in action! right, Bow?"
Bow quickly spat out,
"I'm going with Perfuma."
"what!?" Glimmer screamed.
Mercelyn grabbed Adora's arm and whispered,
"let's go before Glimmer clings onto us."
they headed to their bedroom and Mercelyn sat down on a pink poofy chair. Adora dragged a table and a chair to the middle of the room.
"my gods, is this really necessary?" the ravenette asked.
