About two weeks passed, Elion continued with his duty and everything went on as normal, and in spite of everything, he began to enjoy supporting the people of Edoras, which Eowyn was noticing.
After that night and a few days later, Eowyn saw that she was being inconsiderate of Elion, after all, he was just doing his job. For days she has been trying to apologize, but because she didn't know when to approach him, she hasn't had the opportunity to communicate with him in a friendly manner.
During dinner that night, Eowyn asked Elion for an errand to distract him while she wants to talk to her uncle and brother about her "problem". But to her surprise, Theoden would start the conversation.
"Is everything all right Eowyn? I've noticed you've been a bit distracted these days". Eowyn reacted somewhat nervously as she was waiting for the right moment, but it seems her uncle anticipated it. Eomer on the other hand had already noticed Eowyn's discomfort as the days went by and took the opportunity to delve deeper.
"Is it Elion? Did he do something to you!?"
"No no no no no! Of course not! On the contrary, I'm the one who is the problem," She answered quickly to calm her brother down.
"I have been quite inconsiderate of Elion since he began his Guardian work. I haven't even tried to converse with him when he does everything I ask without complaint, he doesn't even seem to care if I talk to him or not" Eowyn was beginning to look a bit frustrated.
"It's not that he doesn't mind or doesn't care,he just does his job and I haven't heard any complaints from him so far" Eomer said before taking a swig from his mug of ale.
"Well it does bother me and I do care!" Eowyn's exalted expression caught the entire Meduseld hall by surprise as they had never seen the Lady of Rohan express herself in such a manner. Eowyn would realize a few seconds later how she expressed herself and sat back in her chair.
"I just want to apologize for being so rude ,although I don't know how" After hearing that from Eowyn, her uncle and brother were left thinking of some solutions for this "conflict" between Eowyn and Elion, but there was nothing to worry about,it seemed that Theoden had the solution."Well Eowyn, your late aunt once applied to me a piece of advice from my mother : If you want to conquer a man's heart, first conquer his stomach" Theoden expressed proudly, while Eomer began to look uncomfortable with the answer.
"Food? Isn't it too simple for something like that?" asked Eowyn.
"A man always values an honest gesture from a lady,no matter how small" Theodred would say in the background listening to the conversation .
"Lately it's been cold. Why don't you cook him some stew or soup?" Theoden would suggest to his niece. She would react enthusiastically and leave the dining room to prepare everything for Elion.
After that, Eomer would look rather worried, which Theoden and his son would notice and immediately approach. "Boy, what's wrong with you? You look so pale."
" Uncle ,don't you realize what you have just provoked?" Eomer would simply express as what was going through his head terrified him.
"What do you mean, Eomer?" asked the Prince.
"Eowyn....... and cooking" After that there was a rather awkward silence for a few seconds, until the realization hit the King and the Prince.
"Oh"

The next morning, Eowyn woke up earlier and prepared everything for breakfast that day; she asked the Meduseld cooks if she could take care of today's breakfast, but, for some reason that she does not understand, they preferred not to intervene and left the kitchen completely free. And then the "magic" began.A whole head of lettuce was put to cook in a pot, potatoes were half fried and the fish was dubiously well washed, but Eowyn didn't seem to notice this; she knew she wasn't very good at cooking but she was doing her best.

FanfictionAlright, someone had to do it. It's about time to find a LOTR fanfic starring male readers, since you find fanfics aimed at women or of a non-heterosexual nature, and I see that nobody dares to create a fanfic aimed at a male audience or male reader...
