Thanks to Arwen's blessing, Frodo managed to last long enough to reach Rivendell, where he was nursed back to health by her father, Elrond. Now with nothing else to do menwhile,Elion was doing what anyone could best do in such a place: to snoop around...

And Elion couldn't really blame himself: we're talking about a place with elves, greenery everywhere and architecture that a designer would be ashamed not to achieve in his life.

As he wandered into a library of sorts,Elion began to browse through the texts and books until a voice spoke.

"I see you're enjoying your surroundings" Elrond said catching Elion's attention. The rider of Rohan jumped in surprise after hearing the voice of Rivendell's leader. "Sorry Master Elrond.... There isn't much to do if i'm honest" Elion said excusing himself before rasping his throat to change to another topic. "Frodo is out of danger now?"

"He will survive, though the mark of his wound will remain" Elrond said as he approached Elion. "You are pretty young for the conflict you got involved in....And far from your home"

"You can blame Gandalf for the "being away from home part" Elion said as he sat back down. "And it's not like I had the option of saying "No" to all this."

"So what made you stay,Rider of Rohan?" Elrond asked raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Something bigger than me. Big enough to not allow myself to run away from it" Elion said.

Elrond was silent for a few seconds thinking about Elion's words before speaking again. "For your age, you seem to have a sense of your surroundings....Although... such a curious way you go about exploring Rivendell makes me have my doubts."

"24 years. And I regret my.... impertinence for snooping around Rivendell, Master Elrond..." Elion said bowing his head slightly in respect.

"Do not worry,Young Elion. You do no harm that our people could complain about" Elrond said gesturing with his hand to indicate Elion that he could continue with his readings before leaving.

As the days passed, Aragorn and the rest arrived in Rivendell, along with the arrival of Gandalf and the arrival of several representatives of Middle-earth,so Elrond called a council to discuss the threat of the dark lord.

Seated in a circle are all the representatives of Middle Earth. Elrond stands to greet them.

"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old. You have been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Middle Earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite or you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom. (He looks at them all and settles on Frodo, gesturing to him) Bring forth the Ring, Frodo"

Frodo walks over to the stone plinth in the middle of the circle and carefully puts the Ring down on it.

Who appeared to be a representative of Gonder spoke upon seeing the ring. "So it's true" He said as he puts his hand to his mouth

Frodo sits back down and sighs, closing his eyes. various members eye the Ring suspiciously as it seemingly speaks to them. Then the gondorian stands up.

"In a dream (he looks again at the Ring) I saw the Eastern sky grow dark (he starts to walk towards the Ring) In the West a pale light lingered A voice was crying, your doom is near at hand (he keeps walking over to the Ring) Isildur's bane is found (Elrond looks at Gandalf concerned. the man stretches out his hand to the Ring) Isildur's Bane"

Elrond jumps to his feet. "Boromir!"

The sky darkens and Gandalf beings to speak in Black Speech, Boromir jumps back.
