Chapter 7 : The Meeting

First of all I want to apologize for all the delay in continuing with this fic, I went on a proper vacation after almost 8 years (no kidding) and I wanted to take some time to relax and now I come back fresh and full of energy,when suddenly my city got hit by a fucking huracane and stayed with no electricity and water for days,then got attacked by a wild cat in my hand ; so I bring you a long chapter (I want to believe so) to make up for it. Thanks for the wait

In a grassy meadow, a ranger cautiously moved as he watched a small deer with bow in hand to hunt his dinner; just as he secured his target, suddenly a quick trot alerted the man and he hid quickly, until he noticed that the horse rider was none other than Elion.

"Good heavens , I've been looking for you for days and for some reason you are faster than the horse; thank goodness Gandalf gave me your route." The ranger turned to see where the deer fawn was fleeing quickly because of the commotion. "You made me miss dinner." He then sheathed his bow and proceeded to clean himself. "I thought you were a mercenary or a bounty hunter. I was thinking of ambushing you a few days ago."

The ranger then proceeded to walk back to his camp when he suddenly noticed the rider coming alone. "Where is Gandalf?"

"Strider, something VERY SERIOUS has come up."

It was already getting dark and both men were standing before the makeshift camp fire.The ranger was smoking from his pipe while the horse rider was sharpening his spear. "So it came what I was so afraid of." sighed the rider. "And you are absolutely sure about this, Elion?"

"Even I have no idea, but Gandalf was very worried about it; he even mentioned going to the Master of his order." Elion still didn't know what to do. "We agreed to meet at the Prancing pony in Bree in a few days, but I have no idea how to proceed after that."

Then the Ranger would fall silent after hearing all that had happened in the shire. The time had really come to face his destiny? "This is too big for Middle-earth, I have no idea how we will face this threat." So with no other options the Ranger began to prepare all his things, but with another objective in mind. "We will go to Gandalf."

"What? But what for? We already have our mission" Elion asked confused, since Gandalf had skipped an important detail.

"If the part about the ring is true,then Gandalf went to look for the creature Gollum,and we must assist him in that." After that they both got on the horse and rode off at full speed to where the Rider knew the wizard was..... The Misty Mountains.

The days passed and they both arrived at their destination, though of course they didn't know where to start looking. The Ranger and the horse rider searched on their own through the caverns looking for Gollum, but to no avail, as if he had vanished from the place. After this, they assumed that he had definitely disappeared.

After leaving the mountains, to their surprise, Gandalf was sitting on a log, smoking his pipe."The enemy got ahead of us and found Gollum before."

Now the three men were getting ready to go to their destinations.

"I must get back to the shire as soon as possible, Frodo may be in great danger."

"Please Gandalf let me go with you ,I cannot leave him alone in this." Elion showed concern,however the wizard was quick to reply. "No Elion. Now I need you to support Aragorn and prepare for anything; you will wait for me to arrive along with Frodo,meanwhile,hide in Bree."

That was all it took for everyone to leave for their destination.

The days passed, and Aragorn and Elion arrived in Bree, fully cautious.
