STRANGE [ben chilwell]

Today was Sofias last day of her work before she took her maternity leave.

She was meant to finish work two week ago for sage measures but she didn't want to.

She's only leaving now because lately she's been getting braxton hicks which means that she may go into labour within a few weeks.

She was getting ready for work when she got a braxton hick catch her by surprise.

"Ouch." She screams in pain until it's over but she worries Ben in the process so he runs across the hall to check on Sofia.

"What happened? Are you ok?" She takes a deep breath before taking a moment and standing up and turning around to see a semi naked Ben standing at her door.

He was in the middle of getting changed when he heard her scream in pain and he didn't think about grabbing his top on the way out.

"Ummm sorry, yeah I'm fine." She shakes her head drawing herself back into the real world.

"What had you screaming in pain?" He sat on her bed which made Sofias mind go elsewhere once again.

"Oh braxton hicks." She chuckles as she sits on the bed next to Ben and his hand goes to her lap.

"Ohhh right." Ben made a mental note to research them as he didn't want to ask but he wanted to make sure she was ok.

He looks up and see her staring at him which makes him smirk, "What are you staring at?"

"Oh nothing." She blushes and looks down at her bump when Ben chuckles.

"Sureeee." He gets up and kisses her forehead whilst going into her kitchen.

He makes himself a drink whilst making Sofia a tea as he noticed that she hadn't had one in her room like she usually does.

He walks into her room a few seconds later to find her in the same position as when he left but she's now lay down.

"Here you go sweetie." She looks up and see him standing there with a mug in his hand.

"Awe, thank you." She sits up and takes it from his hands before he sits opposite her.

They sit there in a comfortable silence whilst they drink their drinks and whilst Ben stares at the girl sitting in front of him.

He sits there as she gets ready for her last day before having the baby.

"I can't believe that the next time I'm getting ready for this job, I'll have a baby." She says in disbelief whilst doing the finishing touches of her makeup.

"Your going to be a great mum, you know that right?" She sighs and looks at him through the mirror.

"I don't know, I feel so unprepared. I don't even have much of the stuff I need for them." Ben gets an idea but doesn't show it so he thinks he's gonna surprise her but she knows better. "Don't even think about it."

"I didn't say anything."

"But I know what you were thinking." All Ben could think about was how there is no way, she knew what he was thinking. "You were thinking about ordering loads of things for me today and surprising me with it."

Bens mouth dropped in shock. How did she know?

"Fine you caught me. I won't."

"Good." He was still going to do it because now she wouldn't expect it. "Now, I need to get to work."

She chuckles as she grabs her things and she leaves her house whilst Ben follows closely behind her.

She rested her hands on her bump before saying goodbye to Ben as he goes into his apartment and she locks her door.

She turns to press the button on the lift to see that it's broken which means that she would have to walk down the stairs and being 32 weeks pregnant makes everything difficult.

Sofia took the first step but she misses it so the next time she knows she's tumbling down a flight of stairs whilst being 8 months pregnant.

Ben heard a loud noise and poked his head out to what it was and when he saw Sofia lying at the bottom of the forest flight of stairs, he rushed straight to her.

"Woah, sof are you ok?" She rolls over to face Ben with her hand holding her belly.

"I'm fine." She stands up with her hand on her belly but Ben doesn't believe her.

"Let me get my phone, and then I'm taking you to the hospital." He ran to get his things before he carefully helps her down the stairs.

"Honestly Ben I'm fine, I need to go to work and not waste your time." Sofia didn't want to be a burden on him. "Owww." She tried to step on her ankle but a pain shot through her body.

"We're definitely going now." He's very careful whilst getting her in the car.

On the way to the hospital Ben called Thomas to let him know that she wouldn't be going in as she had fell.

Once they got to the hospital, Sofia had multiple tests done and was hooked up to a lot of machines to make sure that she was ok.

It took a few hours for all the results to come back but when they did it revealed that everything was ok.

"The baby is completely unharmed but we did find that you have sprained your ankle." Sofia started to laugh as Ben looked worried.

"What are you laughing at?"

"I feel down a flight of stairs and I'm basically unharmed." She laughed and looked at Ben who was shaking his head.

Although he loved her, she did drive him mad sometimes.
