Sooo this was one of the few Au that's I have but done nothing so I'd decided to pull this Au out of the cupboard. Don't we love the cabinet? It's full of beautiful ideas that I'd haven't used yet and use it to make my life easier, soooooo it's time for some trigger warnings that aer in this Chapter lmao-mentions of the abuse/shown abuse and self-deprecating thoughts/self-harm, Somewhat graphic violence, PTSD mentions Panic attacks, Discrimination, Mental illness mentions/shown, Drug talk and Damian being himself, Mentions of possible past self-harm. Just skip paragraphs 2-4 if you don't want to read it.
Time for a disclaimers:Neither belong to me. I am simply borrowing the characters for fun and writing practice because I'd need to some for getting my original book written in time for the end of next year.
Just a little note, I do eventually plan on having some crossovers from other franchises once we get into UA so i'll be added once we get to that part of the story.
Also if you see () in the story it's the character thinking so you know what that is happening just thought I'd give you that information and the only things that'll be mine are the OC's, and most of the story's plot is mine, but we do eventually get into MHA plot for sometimes also because of my dyslexia so plz tell me if and then I'll write the words wrong so it's easier for everyone to read I'd appreciate it but whatever the show must go on)) *¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸**¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸
Midoriya was very familiar with the rules of treating burns, probably more so than most young teenagers. Was this unhealthy and a sign of future trauma? Most likely the answer was yes, but it meant she knew what to do when she got home(she thanked whatever god was listening out there that All Might had given her the day off while he was doing some sort of hero meeting). Use cold water, not ice to cool the burned area. Keep the rest of the body warm so the body temperature doesn't drop to hypothermic levels. Take some pain relievers afterwards, don't get addicted this time(she's been taking them as needed only, at least since she turned twelve). Avoid the flashbacks of the panic attacks last time Mom had run out of said pain relievers, steady breathing and a calm mind today, thank you very much. The websites say to go to the hospital only if the burn is larger than your hand, but Izuku had been fine on her own before in these cases, so surely she'll be fine today?
She needed to do a better job at staying out of Kacchan's way, but it was kind of hard to do that when the two of them had been in the same class every year that she could remember. At least Midoriya's mom had stopped bringing her over to the Bakugou house for their little hangouts once she turned ten. He wasn't stupid enough to do anything while she was there(even if she deserved it), but it usually meant the next day was much worse for her health.
She couldn't really blame Kacchan for acting the way he did, even if it was painful at times. With a powerful Quirk like Explosion, he clearly had potential to top the hero rankings chart as an adult. Everyone else clearly thought so, with how they never held him back for his actions, even the same actions that she got scolded or written up for(she wondered how many pages long her disciplinary file in the office was). Even when he did have to talk to a teacher or the principal, Izuku doesn't think they ever called home about it, since Auntie Mitsuki never brought it up while visiting. As the only person Izuku knew that could be as loud as Kacchan, she knew it would come up if that had ever happened, since she'd be able to hear them talking from three blocks away.
She hoped that they would be in different classes if they both got into UA next year. Izuku had a sneaking suspicion the teachers kept the two together at Aldera so he would focus on her, rather than any of the other students who actually had a Quirk to defend themselves. It was one of the few reasons she was glad to have been born Quirkless, since it's the sort of thing that one would grow up to ignore, if they hadn't been subjected to it their entire upbringing. Ignorance was bliss after all.
