Sooo this was one of the few Au that's I have but done nothing so I'd decided to pull this Au out of the cupboard. Don't we love the cabinet? It's full of beautiful ideas that I'd haven't used yet and use it to make my life easier, soooooo it's time for some trigger warnings that aer in this Chapter lmao-mentions of the abuse/shown abuse and self-deprecating thoughts/self-harm, Somewhat graphic violence, PTSD mentions Panic attacks, Discrimination, Mental illness mentions/shown, Drug talk and Damian being himself, Mentions of possible past self-harm. Just skip paragraphs 2-4 if you don't want to read it.
Time for a disclaimers:Neither belong to me. I am simply borrowing the characters for fun and writing practice because I'd need to some for getting my original book written in time for the end of next year.
Just a little note, I do eventually plan on having some crossovers from other franchises once we get into UA so i'll be added once we get to that part of the story.
Additional Note! From this point forwards, Midoriya's dead name will be addressed with a strikethrough, as you can't exactly avoid dead naming, especially with people who knew her before she was confident enough to be identified as a girl, or are unaware of said identity. I figure it is more accurate to real life than just censoring it with a * symbol or the like, but if you disagree, please let me know, and I will consider changing that.
Next chapter aer the Exam Results!
Also if you see () in the story it's the character thinking so you know what that is happening just thought I'd give you that information and the only things that'll be mine are the OC's, and most of the story's plot is mine, but we do eventually get into MHA plot for sometimes also because of my dyslexia so plz tell me if and then I'll write the words wrong so it's easier for everyone to read I'd appreciate it but whatever the show must go on)) *¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸**¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸ପଓ*¨*•.¸¸
Zu shouldn't have been surprised at how quiet dinner was that night. Even though her mom had apologized for the accusations (that were actually truths, not that she'd ever reveal that fact), tension simply didn't go away with a wave of the hand. Sure, there were the usual pleasantries exchanged, but nothing deeper than that, and those rarely meant anything other than a quicker departure upstairs without the conversation to distract them (the one pleasure of these moments was knowing her mom found the situation just as uncomfortable, if not worse).
Of course, every movement for the next few days would be an exercise in blending in, since if she let her mom see the ankle healing up, it'd open that whole argument from earlier up at a time that she didn't want to deal with it(the correct answer as to when it should be dealt with? Never, of course!). Today wasn't an issue, since her mom would go to do the dishes, letting Zu head up out of sight. Normally she'd be expected to at least bring in her own dishes, but a bit of tiredness after the Practical was completely expected, so Mama had told her not to bother with it for today. The next few days, however, she'd probably have to be careful when going in or out of the living room.
She sighed as she felt her phone buzz. Kirishima had given Hagakure their phone number, and that had apparently led to a group chat, although she'd only glanced at the notifications since anything more at the dinner table would have been rude. She knew Kirishima to be pretty extroverted, but Hagakure had really asserted himself earlier in the day, so she wasn't exactly sure who was leading the conversation but based on how her phone had been acting like a bumblebee at the table, they must have been pretty engaged in whatever conversation they were having.
Hagakure has been added to the messages tab.
Kirishima: There we go! Took me a minute there to finagle with the settings a bit, but you should be good to type now.
