"Lucas... remember that you're not alone...."

"Mamma would always be with you..."
A hand cupped the chubby cheeks of the little boy.

The boy nodded his head holding the cold hands of his mother.

The woman had raven black hair similar to his though her face was not clear and a little blur...the ravenette still felt her touch.

It wasn't warm...

Her hands were cold and frailness appeared on her body in the form of sickness.

"Lu... would remember it..."
The kid mumbled.
His red eyes were dull as the woman went her hand on his hair in a loving and motherly manner.

Suddenly the door of their small 'home' burst open revealing a man with brown hair and red eyes, his face red due to the amount of alcohol he took.
A glass bottle of alcohol was in his hand.

He barged inside the room throwing the kid who was infront of his mother towards the wall ruthlessly before forcefully making the woman lay on bed.

"Get out of the room, brat!"
The man commanded at the kid who was trying to get up from the ground after the sudden hit.

"But...m-mama..."
He mumbled holding the lower edge of his blue shirt looking down towards the ground not daring to look in his eyes.
Blood slowly dripping from his forehead.

He flinched when the glass bottle hit the wall beside him with some of its pieces hitting him.

His eyes went up towards his so called 'father' to find him glaring at him like he just saw something really irritating.

"Get lost"
The man slurred.

The red eyes of the kid went towards the woman who was crying desperately to break free from the grip of the man but was helpless in doing so.

He looked inside her eyes which seemed to be pleading him to go away.

The raven haired boy lowered his head back to the ground before walking out of the room just to hear the screams of his mother as soon as he got out.

He leaned towards the side of the wall beside the door and sat on the ground hugging his knees.

His ears heard the voice of his mother pleading his father to stop tormenting her but nothing helped.

Tears formed beside his eyes as he sobbed alone quietly... knowing that if he even made a single noise, his mother would be in trouble again.

He was obedient.....

Just as his mother wished....

Then...

Why did she left him...?

In the dark of the night when moon wasn't in the sky to lighten the way for others, was a woman walking with a kid beside her.

She stopped walking at a certain place then crouched down towards the child's level.

"Lucas..."
Her voice cracked looking at the innocent kid infront of her.

"Mama..? Where are we..."
He tilted his head innocently expecting a answer from his mother but all he got was small sobs.

He wiped the tear coming out of his mother's and gave her a smile.
"Lu would be a good boy...mama can go..."

He said making the woman burst in tears as she got up and ran away leaving the kid standing infron of the orphanage alone.
