CHAPTER-21

"Hey athy?"
Came the voice of Helena from the other side.

"Yes, Are you done?"
Athanasia whispered making sure that nobody heard her. She looked up towards Lucas who had his eyes directed towards the group.

Seemed like they decided to leave.

"It's time for your flight, sir"
The spectacle guy said and the boss stood up correcting his suit.

Athanasia looked at Lucas signalling him that it was time, when Helena let out a 'Yes' from the other side.

"Then we're off to our job"
She answered and cut the call before jumping in the room through the vent startling the four people present there.

"Aren't you in too much hurry? Wait for us"
Athanasia said making the two look at her with widened eyes.

"You....That girl who meddeled in our gun buiseness, aren't you"
The boss turned out, making our two portagonist widen their eyes when found how he looked like.

He had red eyes, a small scar o his right cheek and brown hair. He was elderly, looking at the wrinkles on his cheeks, but the most disturbing thing about him was his identical look with the ravennete.

Athanasia raised a brow and turned to look at Lucas, she didn't know what to say when she found how the ravennete had his eyes wide equally as her, but the problem was that he had his eyes widened with fear evident.

"Lucas....?"
She called out to him but no response.

"F-Father...."
The guy trembled as the memories from his past rewinded in his mind.

The horrible memories of his father tormenting his mother and hitting her, even the time he used to torture the little boy whenever his mother caused a mistake.

He used to be locked in a dark and lonely room without any food or water, suffering. His father would occasionally come to him but just to hit him with his belt or a strong whip that hurted like crazy.

"Father? Don't say you're that useless son of mine whom that woman left when small"
The elderly man spoke with not a bit of warmth in his eyes.

Athanasia was left frozen in the situation, How did Lucas got a bastard Father like this!?

And she thought she had the worst father...

(Two idiots with horrible dad's trying to be together lmao)

She was glad Lucas took over his mother, it's obvious that he isn't like that guy.

"Lucas What is it? You never told me...he was your father"
Athanasia let out in a confused tone.

"I never knew that too..."
He spoke in a weak voice.

Athanasia sighed, she didn't payed for this.

"Do you wanna continue...or stop"
She asked looking at the ravennete expecting a answer.

"I...I don't know...I...I.."
He stuttered horror written all over his face.

Athanasia could swear she never saw the guy this scared in all her time with him.

Just What had he went through when young...?

And somehow she saw the glimpse of herself in the horrified ravennete.

She turned her gaze to look at the elder man who was supposed to be 'father' to him.

She felt tired...

Why had these father given birth to them if in the end all they could do is make them suffer...?
