Jane's POV:

I was getting ready for my date.
I put on a nice outfit, fixed my hair and put on perfume.

I heard the door house open.
"Hey Dad" I said as he put his work bag down onto the ground.

"Saan ka pupunta" He asked.
"May uh date kasi ako" I said and he raised both his eyebrows.

"Sino nanaman yan?" He asked and took of his coat, hanging it on the rack.

"Shes different dad" I said.
"You say that about everyone Jane" He said.

"Trust me-"
"I do Jane, pero lagi kanalang nasasaktan" He said.

"Wag kanalang pumunta" He added.
"Ano?! Hindi pwede" I said.

"Im your father" He said and took of his shoes.
"Dont go on that date, your wasting your time" He added.

"I bet nang bobola lang sya, you dont know anything about love Jane. Na heartbroken kana ilang beses na?" He said and I scoffed.

"What would you know about love?" I asked him and he looked at me speechless.

"You broke mom's heart and you expect me to believe that you know what love is?" I said.
"Your the one that broke mom's heart....Im not like you dad" I said.

"Your staying home and thats final" He said.
"No, you dont control me. Im a full grown adult and I know for a fact I know more about love than you!" I yelled.

"Wag mokong sigawin Jane!" He yelled back.
"Hindi ko sinira yung puso nang nanay mo!" He added.

"You just want me to stay home like this forever and be lonely like you! Its all because your guilty for what you did to mom" I yelled.

"Wag kang nag aasume Jane!" He yelled and threw a glass vase onto the ground.

"I wish mom was here instead of you" I said and tears rolled down my eyes.

He looked at me and didnt say anything.
I grabbed my sweater and tote bag, I walked out of the house while wiping my tears away.

Until I saw the figure.
I opened the gate to my house and ran up to her.

I hugged her tight.
"Just hug me for aslong as you need" She said and caressed my head softly.

"Im sorry- Its just..my dad" I said after breaking the hug. "No its fine" She said.

"Are you still ready for the date? We can postpone it if you want, maybe rest first?" She said.

"I want to spend my night with you right now" I said.
"You make me feel some type of good" I added and she smiled.

"Im glad" She replied.
"So what food are you into? We dont have to go to that restaurant unless you want to, its my treat anyway" She said.

"Lets just take a walk for now" I said and wrapped my hands around her arm. "I just need someone to listen" I added.

"I'll listen" She replied.
"Its about my dad" I continued.
"Hes the reason my mom's dead" I said.

"O-oh-" Janella said.
"Just dont give me those speeches like oh im sorry for your loss" I said.

"I wasnt, I was going to ask how your doing now" She replied and I looked at her looking at me.

"What?..Why?" I asked.
"Your feelings matter to me, the expression on your face matters to me, what you say matters to me as well, you in general matter to me" She said and I looked at her examining her beautiful face.

"Grabe mo, ang exag mo talaga" I said and she smiled. "Your beautiful Jane, really beautiful" She said. "Thats why I fell inlove with you" She added and it was silent for a minute.

"Oh Im so sorry for changing the subject, you can keep talking about your dad if youd like" She said.
"I dont want to" I replied.

"Oh, what do you want to do now then?" She asked and I made her face me while we were on the sidewalk and the sun was setting.

"I want to kiss you" I said.
She smiled "Do it" she replied.

I tippy toed to reach her height and kissed her.

"Janella, please dont leave me, ever" I whispered after we broke the kiss.

"I promise Jane" She said and hugged me.
"What fool would leave a girl like you anyway?" She asked and I smiled.

That night me and Janella ate dinner together and it was the best night I ever had.

The next day at work

Im at the cashier and keeping an eye on who's entering the shop.

*Ding*

I looked over to the person but it was just a customer leaving. I sighed and grabbed a chair to sit on while resting my head on the counter.

*Ding*

I lifted my head up again, hoping to see Janella.
"LUH NAG IINTAY!" Mara said.
Richard was playing with the door and they caught me.

"Tumigil na kayo" I said and put my head down.
I closed my eyes to relax for a few minutes because there wasnt any customers.

*Ding*

"Kakasabi kolang na tumigil na kayo" I shouted in a muffled voice because my head was down on my arms resting.

I felt a hand pat my head and I look up.
"Jea" I said and she was smiling already.

"Goodmorning to you too" She said and was holding flowers in her arm. "Oh your buying that" I said and quickly stood up.

"It'll be 8$/320 pesos" I said.
"I think the person Im giving these flowers to will really like them, do you?" She asked as she handed me her credit card.

"Oo naman" I said and handed her card back once I was done scanning it through the payment.

"Okay then" She said and put her card away in her pocket. "Flowers for you" She said.

"Huh?" I said.
"These are for you because your the only beautiful one I see in this world, you should get an award for it" She winked and took my hands, making me carry the flowers she gave to me.

"AAAAAAAH NAKAKAKILIG!" Mara yelled excitedly and Richard was trying to calm her while they were peeking through the plants.

"Ano kaba" I said to Janella but she just kept smiling at me.

"If you keep smiling like that I'll-"
"You'll what Jane?" She asked and I looked at her.

I pulled her neck in with my hands and kissed her lips. "I'll do that" I said and she smirked.
"Really? I should smile often then" She replied and I let go of her neck.
