Thursdays thunderstorm came and left like the day.

Now its game day. I am so very nervous. I get up out of my dorm bed alone, Joe and I are in the works of renting an apartment next to Sarah. I double check to make sure I have all of my soccer stuff including, shin guards, my cleats, soccer socks, and emotional support water bottle. ''ITS GAME DAY''I texted the groupchat. It consisted off jaden,sarah,joe, and me.  ''we'll be there''jaden replied first. ''I'll be there to cheer you on, pookie''sarah wrote. ''I will also be there to cheer on MY pookie''joe also replied. I laughed and headed out the door at 8:30 for early practice.

Coach prepared us as best as she could and we left to go to class. I saw Joe as I walked into the building. ''Heyyy darling, you ready to whoop alabama's ass today''Joe wrapped his arm around me. ''I guess, I scared but I am very ready''I said with confidence. ''good, youll do great my love''he kissed my head. We walked to class and met up with Sarah. ''Your going kick their asses Lexie, I believe in you''Sarah said. I agreed and got anxious for the game at 5. 

My classes ended, I took a deep breath and went to find Joe. We met up at the locker rooms like always. ''Come here''he opened his arms. ''Your going to do amazing, dont stress it. Think of me the whole time and you will be fine''Joe said hugging me. ''Yeah I will think of my super hot boyfriend the whole time''I smelled his hoodie and let go. ''Don't get hurt in practice big boy''I fist bumped him. ''I won't''Joe smiled. We went our separate ways. 

Since we had an early practice this morning coach explained our game plan, during this practice. Coach put me as team captain and I have never felt more proud, in myself. The goalie was practicing with some other players, I worked on my accuracy at the other goal.  ''Hey lexie hows Joe''Number 11 comes over. Its like shes obsessed with him. ''Uh hes coming to the game, is all I know''I lied. ''dont bullshit me Greenwood, I saw you two hugging''she rolled her eyes and walked away. 

I shake it off and warm up, only 30mins before the game now. Students and Parents have began filling the seats. Not like the football stadium though. I looked around for the group and couldn't spot them anywhere. I grabbed a drink and heard some yelling. ''LEXIE''Sarahs voice carried to me. I waved at her and she came down. ''Jadens getting a hotdog he will be here soon, Joe is with him too''Sarah said. ''Im nervous, I don't wanna get hurt against people that kiss their cousin''I laughed. ''Oh you're playing Alabama then''Sarah laughed and took a picture with me. ''Alright DONT get hurt, I love you and play hard. I will be watching you very closely number 13''Sarah started walking up. 

I nodded and saw Joe come out. He went to Sarah and Jadens seats and then made his way down to me. ''Sarah most likely already gave you a moral talk, but I am going to too''Joe started. ''It will be quick, try not to get hurt, try to make the opponent think you're playing dumb and then whip out some trick you have. I know you got this''Joe patted my shoulder and started going to his seat. ''I LOVE YOU JOEY''I yelled. He blew a kiss and started eatinghis hotdog at his seat.

Its game time. The guy controlling the sound system introduced us and we walked out on the field. Then Alabama went on. I made my way to the center and locked eyes with a girl from the infamous ''roll tides''. She meant business, well so did I.  It all came so fast, I got the ball first and ran like my ass depended on it. Then some girl ran into me, I fell but got up. I ran down the field and  tried taking the ball. I shoved a girl, on accident and the ball rolled out of bounds. Someone from bama threw the ball back in and I got it, running it down field until... I felt someone hit my back and I got trampled on...

The lights went out, I couldn't feel anything. I lay motionless on the field. I hear yelling but its faintly, I see lights but my vision is so blurry I dont understand. I heard a girl,a boy, and another boy yelling from the background. Paramedics were trying to get me to open my eyes, when I did I couldn't remember my surroundings. 

I then snap out of it and felt pain in my ankle. Next thing I know, I am on a golfcart type thing with Medics on each side. ''Shes awake''One frantically says. ''Yo am I ok''the first thing that rolls out of my mouth. ''Yep youll be fine, just stay awake and don't move''another guy says. I look around and it looks like I am in a hallway outside of the stadium. ''LEXIE''Joe yells coming over. ''does she have any family here, she will be transported to the hospital for possible concussion and a broken ankle''a medic asks Joe. ''No I-I dont think so, all she has currently is her best friend, the best friends boyfriend and me''Joe said very shaken up.  I see Jaden and Sarah running past security. ''thats them''Joe pointed. 

''We cant have all of you guys in the ambulance at once, who are you again''The medic asks loading me into the medical van. ''hes my boyfriend''I say. ''alright come on kid''  Joe climbs up and holds my hand. Crying, seeing him cry makes me want to cry. I am in a lot of pain but I have no tears to cry. The last thing I see before the doors close is Jaden and Sarah hugging, her back turned to me. ''Dont worry princess,they will make it''joe never let go of my hand. I bring it up to my lips and kiss it. His smile got brighter and we get to the hospital.
