Today was the Heisman ceremony in New York City, it basically awards the most outstanding college football player. Joe was one of the finalists, since he led LSU to a 15-0 record. Over the past few months Joe has kept his eyes on me and wont let me leave Sarahs apartment with the exception of his games. Jaden moved into Sarahs after losing the record deal, but hes going to try and get a new one to wherever Joe,Sarah, and I move to after college.

I woke up in the hotel room to a beautiful sunrise over the skyline of NYC, Sarah and Jaden are staying in the room next door. ''Its your big day''I played with Joes soft short hair. He exhaled and snuggled tighter into my chest. Joes parents are coming from Ohio and should be here by the time we have to arrive at Times Square.

Since after Joe won the national championship, I neglected packing for NYC and that proceeded to me loosing track of Joes birthday. But I have an amazing plan that should work out great. "Joe baby you literally have to get up its like 10am"i laughed. "Yeah yeah yeah"he groaned leaving my chest and stretching. "We gotta meet your parents at JFK airport at 12pm"I said reading a text from Joes mom.

"Ah shit we still have time"Joe leaned back. "No you should go over your speech if you win"I smiled. "Ill wing it"he winked finally getting up out of bed. "Are you gonna talk about us"i questioned. "I dont know, if you want me too"he shrugged. "Its gonna be broadcasted all over sooo"joe trailed off. "Uh i think you should just talk about me briefly cause Id like to stay private"i hugged Joe at the end of the bed.

He cleared his throat,"thank you thank you everyone for voting me to have the heisman trophy, I would love to thank my wonderful girlfriend that had me by halftime at my first game and knew she was going to stick with me this season"Joe spoke. "Your not actually going to say that are you"sarah opened the door. "I hope not"i laughed.

"Why not"Joe pouted. "Because you sound to cocky at the beginning your not the King"sarah crossed her arms. "Plus your not that confident at public speaking"I added. "I take offense to that"joe scribbled out lines on his paper. "Ill help bud"jaden went over. Sarah and I sat on the hotel bed talking and then decided to get food. ''where are you two going''Joe asked clearly unfocused on his speech. ''to get food''Sarah replied. ''dont get lost''Jaden spoke. Sarah rolled her eyes and we left the hotel room. ''its cold here''I said. ''well yeah its not 80 degrees everywhere in the winter''Sarah said. ''ok ok dont have to get all angry''I defended. ''oh shit sorry I didnt mean it like that''she said. ''its alright''I got out my phone to find a good rated restaurant to have breakfast at.

Sarah and I eventually settled for a breakfast place a few blocks away from the hotel. I ordered an omelet and she got pancakes. ''do you think Joe will win tonight''Sarah asked as we began eating. ''I dont know I hope so, his face is plastered all over the billboards''I laughed. Sarah and I later finished up eating, to head back to the hotel. ''actually lets go see the Rockefeller tree''I said. Sarah agreed and we made our way to the Rockefeller tree. ''you have to admit that new york is pretty in the winter''Sarah said. ''oh of course''I nodded. We approached the huge tree and took pictures.

''We should bring the boys here''I said looking through the photos. ''yesss, I can't wait until Jaden does tours and we come here again''Sarah said. ''yep and when Joe comes here to play against the Jets''I blush at the thought of becoming an NFL wife. ''your going to be a good WAG''Sarah patted my shoulder. ''did you just google that''I chuckled. ''sure did''Sarah smiled. We then headed back to the hotel to see Jaden and Joe most likely getting frustrated with eachother.

Sarah opened the door and Joe was still sitting on the couch with jaden on the bed on his phone. ''did you come up with one babe''I sat next to him. ''kinda, but im still going to wing it thats what I imagine Jalen and the others are doing''Joe gave me his paper. I read it and almost cried, he did a very good job. ''awh joey Im so proud of you''I hugged him. ''gross''Jaden looked over and gagged. ''shut up, do we have to talk about the moaning last night''I looked at Jaden. ''hey you guys shouldve booked a hotel that doesnt have paper thin walls''Sarah shrugged. We all died laughing and waited for Joes parents to come.

A few hours later Sarah and jaden left. ''do you think theyll ever not touch eachother''i asked Joe. ''nope I swear they look at eachother and instantly make out''Joe laughed. Joe and I cuddled up to eachother just enjoying the presence of us. Then Joe got a text from his mom ''We are at the hotel!'' it read. ''I should probably go get them, are you going to stay here''he asked. ''yeah''I still laid in bed on my phone. ''alright I'll be quick''Joe kissed my forehead and left. I texted Sarah to come back over but there was no response. I sighed and patiently waited for Joe to get back.

''Hi''Sarah came through the hotel room door. ''what are you up to''I asked. ''oh nothing just bored''Sarah was acting weird but I ignored it the truth will come out eventually. ''wheres Jaden''I spoke while Sarah sat down on the futon in the room. ''sleeping''she said. I nodded and did a loud sigh. ''come on Joe''I huffed. ''where the hell is he''Sarah asked. ''getting his parents because we had to go to the ceremony soon''I sat up. ''oh shit what time even is it''Sarah looked at her phone. ''uhh Id love to keep talking but Im going back to Jaden and Is room''she grabbed her phone and left. Shes definitely hiding something.

Joe came back with his mom and dad, also his brothers. ''Lexie, theres my daughter I never had''Joes mom gave me a big hug. ''are you sure because Joe seems a little you know to me''Joes older brother said. ''yeah they always say the youngest is'' Joes dad then cut off the other brother. ''boys stop this is a big night for your brother'' the coach side of him came out. ''you tell them Mr. Burrow''I laughed. Joes dad gave me a smile.

''alright Joey we should get going soon, do you have your speech ready if you win''Joes mom asked. ''yes mother its all ready''Joe said. I pushed Joes curl back before we left. ''you got this babe''I whispered. Joe wrapped his arm around my waist and we left the hotel room. I knocked on Jaden and Sarahs room. They quickly opened the door. ''We are ready to watch Joe win''Sarah said lightly punching Joe in the chest. ''we believe in you bro''Jaden gave Joe a fist bump. Our small but big group made it to the lobby and there was an unbelievable amount of people standing there cheering for Joe. I held Joe's hand as he guided me out the door, while I was still waving  at people.

We got in the car to head to the ceremony and emotions filled the air. The ride seemed so short the the Lincoln center. Joes parents went first and then his brothers. I got out of the car, Joe peaked out and he grabbed my hand very fast. He gripped my small hand tightly as photos and videos were taken all around us. Lastly Jaden and Sarah got out but not a lot of people knew of them. ''my face being on billboards all around us is weird''Joe shivered. ''that just means there is a higher chance of you winning''I squeaked, I was so excited for my superstar boyfriend.

''alright I gotta go take my seat, I love you Lexie''Joe let go and went over to the 3 other guys sitting by the stage. The announcer shortly led them over to the trophy for a photo. In a few short minutes the winner would be announced. ''IM SO EXCITED FOR HIM''Sarah whisper yelled sitting next to me. ''this is so surreal,I haven't even heard of Joe until last year and now hes famous''I hugged Sarah. ''then there will be mini D1 athlete Joes running around in a few years''Sarah joked. ''not anytime soon though, Joe's got to make it to the NFL first''I laughed.

Everyone got quiet when the speaker started going through all the finalists for the heisman trophy. They were Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields,Chase Young, and of course Joe Burrow.  I got nervous because all of those guys were really pretty great players but I had a lot of hope for Joe. ''And the winner of this year's heisman trophy is Joe Burrow from LSU'' I literally almost fainted. ''YESSS'' Sarah and I screeched. Jaden hugged Sarah tightly. Joe's smile lit up the whole room, he hugged his mom and his dad and went through the whole line. Then he came to me,''I love you so much Joe''I whispered in his ear. He bent down to hug me and I kissed his cheek. Joe hugged Sarah and Jaden.

Then he went up to the podium and said a VERY touching speech that made everyone in the room cry. ''Lexie your a very lucky girl''Sarah had tears in her eyes too. ''I know trust me, I know''I sobbed.

Authors note: Long time no see huh? Sorry I've been kinda busy, actually no I lied. I wasn't busy, but my guy friend literally told me he liked me. Like dude your 2 years too late, Im kinda over that phase. We did agree to stay friends though so thats dope. Haven't talked to him since like last week though, so if anyone can help me NOT ghost him Id appreciate the advice.🤠 Also ever since I found out Josh allen is single hes been looking a lil to fine....maybe my moms onto something. ALSO why tf do people not reply these days? Like if you see what I sent you wouldnt you Atleast acknowledge it??? But go off sis 🙄 My cat literally has more class than you 😙
