Chandni felt strange.

The bed felt strange. Her pillow felt firmer. The sheet on her felt a little thicker but it compensated the coldness of sleeping naked.

Actually, it wasn't just the sheet but something else also kept her cosy.

Something so utterly comforting that all Chandni did was turn and sink further into its embrace, naked under the sheets and all—

Naked?!

When sleep abandoned Chandni and her heart raced, she was fairly surprised about the fact that instead of fear, the reason was the mere proximity of something like a wonderful solace.

Without opening her eyes, Chandni tried remembering the events of the previous day while feeling up with her hands that came in contact with a warm, smooth but firm surface.

Up, up her hands went till they brushed something that oddly felt like trimmed facial hair and nearby, she felt soft flesh that were curved softly.

And that was the moment she recollected everything from last night.

Aakash woke up to Chandni's hands straying up his chest making him open his eyes. Her hands then travelled through his neck, his jaw and her fingers finally rested on his lips that already sported a bleary smile.

Last night was so achingly enchanting that he wished it was a dream that he could forever protect behind his eyelids.

Chandni snapped her eyes open the moment she recollected everything from last night. She was met with the sight of a barely awake Aakash whose lips were stretched into a small smile under her frozen fingers.

"You know, I've heard of those creepy 'watching a person sleep and feeling them up sneakily' but never have I heard of this... this 'eyes closed and feeling up' thing." Aakash rasped out and Chandni's nose wrinkled.

"Bad breath?" Chandni nodded, pulling up the sheets to cover her nose while he talked.

Aakash grinned and was about to get off the bed when he felt a hand on his wrist, pulling him back. Chandni pulled him closer and controlled her breathing to get minimum whiff of his morning breath.

"Good morning." Came Chandni's muffled voice but her nose wrinkled again as she got a sniff of her own bad breath.

But when she saw Aakash pulling up the sheet to his face just like her, the sight made her compromise the smell and bear it all just for a cute pillow-talk with him.

"Morning." Aakash greeted back.

He hesitantly leaned forward, tilting his head slightly and eyeing Chandni's sheet-covered lips. Chandni inched closer as well, and their lips met indirectly in a soft peck, only separated by the layer of the bedsheet between their lips.
