"So, I actually called you for another reason as well..." Aakash felt her voice turning a little wary.

It had been a regular phone call in the morning before Aakash left for his office. But now with her voice taking a turn, Aakash highly doubted if today's call was regular.

"What is it?" Aakash prodded gently and when he saw his brother making kissing faces, the former contorted his face into a mock glare and walked out of the house.

He waved at his parents, aunt and uncle on the way, leaning against his motorbike while he heard Chandni speak through the phone.

"Um so... Remember when your mom asked about meeting our parents?" When Aakash replied affirmatively, Chandni continued, "Yeah, I think they already talked over the phone about it. I was visiting my parents to talk about you and I. Then they called your parents and talked. I was so nervous I left before the conversation could turn to our topic, honestly."

"What? You talked to your parents about us?" Aakash straightened in panic.

"Yeah," Chandni's voice sounded nervous, "Why? Did you want to go slow? I thought since your family knew, I'd let mine know too."

Oh God! But still he felt scared about the whole ordeal, "No, no. It's fine, just...how did they react?"

"They kept staring at me for a solid five minutes. Then they asked if your parents knew. I said that they did, just two day before my parents' knowledge. Then my Amma called yours. They kept talking and I left in between, like I said." Chandni blurted everything.

"So, I'm thinking that they'll plan another meet between your family and mine." Chandni placed her doubts in the open.

"Uh, wow okay," Aakash rose an eyebrow while rubbing his mouth with his free hand, "Any idea about the ETA. of this thing?"

"Maybe in a couple of weeks? I'm guessing it would be on the day when we invite Anjana and her in-laws for a feast. After she's back from her honeymoon and the rituals in her in-laws' place is over, they'll arrange for this feast."

Aakash pondered over it. He wasn't afraid to meet her parents. But for putting themselves through all of this since the day they met, only to end up together, Aakash had been planning things.

Things other than just shaking their parents hands and agreeing to their union.

He knew that the moment he'd meet her parents with his, their engagement would be fixed. He couldn't be any happier, but he wished he was given some time to woo her on his own efforts instead of an arranged marriage.

In fact, 'how to get a girl to be your fiancée quickly' was on Aakash's very recent searches.

Safe to say, none of the search results completely satisfied him.
