Struggling with pain
Struggling with so much suffering
Venom laced words aimed at me
Degrading at my entire being
Made to feel worthless
Through so many years
So many years until now
Until enough
But still at my core I haven't changed
My heart is still filled with flowers and butterflies
An inner light shining through
Uncompromising
Truth-seeking
Through the darkness
Emerges a butterfly ready to save the world
