Heeseung stands in the middle of the practice room, eyes heavy with tears that threaten to fall.
His heart is heavy, the weight on his shoulders even heavier while the memories he made with his members in this place cloud his mind.
Staring at his reflection in the big mirror, he's too lost in thought, his gaze fixed on the depressing expression on his face and the bags that formed under his eyes because of his sleepless nights.
Everything around him doesn't matter anymore, his dreams and plans for the future of Enhypen are scattered like a house of cards breaking down.
The laughter, crying, hard work, effort... he'd always be reminded of it.
It's been a while since the boys had met, and the lack of moments spent with them saddens him. He's missing it all.
Jungwon, their leader, got into an accident and ended up in the hospital for a couple of weeks, and it went downhill since then.
He hurt his leg so he couldn't dance anymore, and everyone was horrified upon hearing the news.
They knew very well how much he loved dancing, and having something you love taken away from you cruelly was too much to bear.
Arguments happened many times between the six of them and somehow, they just ended so distant and unmotivated.
Jungwon was tired, but he tried his best to bring them closer, although he was staying in the hospital. Yet, nothing worked.
And just like that, the seven of them drifted apart. But Heeseung was stuck there, right where they left him.
"Heeseung," You call, peeking from the door with a bitter smile on your face. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah... I just-" He chokes on a sob, making your heart break. "I miss it."
"I know." You pull him closer, wrapping your arms around him to make him feel safe and loved. "You did your best."
Heeseung is having a hard time letting go of his team and you know it very well, but what he needs now is comfort and support so you're there for it all.
"I didn't..." He hides his face in your shoulder while you hear him cry. "Y/N, I- I just- it n-never goes away..."
The guilt he's feeling as the oldest is too hard to even think about.
Enhypen had so many plans and dreams, and the guys were excited about it all. Things just got in their way and so they eventually lost the motivation and the energy.
Jungwon still goes to the hospital, trying to find a way to make his leg work again. The others are too busy stressing about their lives and their future.
But the one thing Heeseung is so guilty of is letting down the fans that always cheered for Enhypen whenever they were on stage.
He couldn't forget those teary eyes and big, genuine smiles upon seeing them. All the warm hugs and love he received suddenly turned to a deep guilt that made his nights sleepless.
But you're always there for him, trying your best to make him smile again.
Deep down, it's killing you as well. Witnessing your lover's dreams fall apart like a house of cards isn't something that is easy.
"It's going to be okay." You pat his back when he sits on the couch and looks at the TV in front of him.
The two of you used to watch Enhypen videos together and laugh about the silly jokes they make and the way they tease each other.
Their friendship isn't one that's supposed to fall apart and you refuse for it to happen.
So, without Heeseung knowing, you meet the boys. One by one.
Sunghoon is thinking about going back to skating although dancing makes him feel more fulfilled.
Jay probably will take over his father's business. Jake is too depressed to do anything.
Sunoo and Niki are thinking about going to college and returning to a normal life, even though their presence screams popularity wherever they go.
It wasn't easy to let go of everything and make it seem like nothing happened. As if Enhypen didn't exist.
And Jungwon... Well, you head to the hospital where he's getting his treatment to meet him.
You look for his room before you knock and step inside, only to find him sitting with his back facing you. "Jungwon?"
He doesn't turn around so you approach him hesitantly, only to see the tears falling down his cheeks.
It makes your heart drop. Your eyebrows furrow while you stare at him with eyes full of worry and concern.
"What's wrong...?" You ask, finally making him look at you. "Are you-"
"My leg..." He mutters, closing his eyes and letting more tears fall down his cheeks. "It will h-heal."
Those words were all it took for your eyes to widen and for you to engulf him in a tight hug. Jungwon hugs you tighter, both your tears filled with hope for the future.
Your heart is beating so fast in excitement while you make your way back home, wanting to tell Heeseung about the wonderful news that will brighten his life again.
"Heeseung!" You call from the front door, kicking your shoes off before you step inside. "Heeseung-"
"What's wrong?" He walks to you, drained and almost out of life, but when he sees your teary eyes, he frowns. "Why are you-"
You're too emotional to hold back your tears, yet you smile as wide as you can while he looks at you in confusion. "Jungwon's leg is healing."
"What?" You feel him tense while you wrap your arm around him. "Y/N, what are you-"
"Heeseung, I think you should all meet." You mutter before you pull him closer, hugging him tight as you feel his tears wet your shoulder. He's crying silently, but inside, you know it's a battle of feelings.
That night, they all meet at your place and talk as if nothing even happened. The news was too good for them to care about anything that happened before.
Eventually, Jungwon was able to dance again, and Enhypen returned. They practiced together and made their comeback official, making everyone die out of joy and excitement.
The day of their comeback arrives and you're standing backstage while watching your boyfriend and your best friends perform for the first time in a while.
The bright smile is back on his lips and together, they shine even brighter.
For the past month, they've been writing a song called Shout Out, letting out all their heartaches and struggles. Now they're performing it with tears in their eyes and smiles plastered on their faces.
Heeseung looks over at you, giving you a smile that speaks a million words. He's grateful and extremely lucky to have you in his life, supporting him and loving him on his worst and best days.
The tears fall down your cheeks as you wave at him and smile, watching the seven of them shout together and make their voices heard.
At the end, those seven never left each other. Till the end of time, they were staying with each other because they all made it better.
