"hello anri"
"good morning, y/n. would you like something special for breakfast? i could make you your favorite chocolate pancakes. i also have fresh strawberries," she smiles at you, which immediately makes you smile too.
"anri, i told you before that you don't have to talk to me so formally when dad isn't around," you let her know again before grabbing a strawberry and stuffing it in your mouth. "and even though the chocolate pancakes sound tempting, i have to go now. suzume and i are meeting up for shopping," you reach for your bag, which you have set down on the kitchen island for a moment.
"have fun, y/n," she says, and you give her another wave before walking out of the kitchen and down the long hallway toward the front door. before you reach it, it opens and in walks none other than bachira meguru.
you would have liked to roll your eyes, but instead you give him your most angelic smile. with a gait that couldn't be more perfect, he walks up to you, adjusts his gucci tie as he goes, and starts to smile too.
"good morning, sweetheart. did you sleep well?" he asks, his voice alone showing the rank he comes from. as always when he sees you, he takes your hand in his big one and presses a feather-light kiss on the back of your hand.
but this time he doesn't just let you go, he comes even closer until his cheek touches yours and you feel his hot breath against your auricle. "i certainly hope i was in your dream, babe."
"sorry, meg, but i can't remember my dream, unfortunately." you push him away from you a bit to be able to breathe again, since you stopped this one because the situation is so incredibly uncomfortable for you.
he really thinks you like him too, but secretly you think he's just an aloof snob. well, he's not bad looking, but looks aren't everything to you - character counts, even if your families still hope you'll get together.
"besides, i don't think i was dreaming about you," you say, still smiling at him.
"whatever," he is directly irritated and at his usual me. "is your brother still sleeping? we wanted to go to the lucky charm beach club."
what else? the lucky charm beach club is a highly respected club even though it's not really a club.
it's more like a luxurious place right on the beach, where only respectable and rich people come in to bet, drink alcohol or meet up with others.
and of course, there are girls running around in skimpy bikinis, throwing themselves at every guy who comes their way.
"i don't know what yoichi is doing. you should just check his room, and if he's not there, he's probably in the gym," you walk past him. "anyway, i have to go now, because me and your cousin have a date," you don't turn around once, even though you can feel his intimate gaze on your back.
half an hour later, from a distance, you can already see your best friend, who is once again wearing an exaggerated amount of jewelry on her body.
that's not the only thing that catches your eye about her, but also her light caramel brown hair, which makes her even more irresistible.
luckily, appearances are deceptive; she is the nicest girl ever and even if you can see that she belongs to a higher class, she doesn't care at all - just like you.
"well hello", you greet her and give her a short hug.
she also says a quick hello to you and immediately you go to the café, which is your favorite café by the way.
you sit down at the place in the corner, where you always sit, if the place isn't already occupied.
"hello ladies! the usual?" reo comes up to you with his broad smile, pen and notepad in his hands and his apron tied around his hips.
