two days have passed and nothing has happened. you don't know anything about seishiro since he hasn't contacted you or let you see him once.

and neither do you.

you lay in bed for the whole two days, thinking about things, including your words that caused you to break up. maybe everything would have been different if you hadn't acted so thoughtlessly and impulsively. you could have talked and cleared everything up, so that it was out of the world. but as is so often the case, you're only a lot smarter in retrospect, would have reacted differently, reacted better.

you love seishiro and the thought of losing him almost kills you, breaks you every minute a little bit more. your heart is broken in thousands of tiny little pieces and you're the only one to blame.

seishiro never intended to hurt you, the only thing he did is to protect you from the truth that could hurt you.

he may not have been ready to tell you everything either.

according to meguru's stories, seishiro was devastated when it came out that sadako had only cheated on him.

but maybe he was just afraid of losing you, wasn't he?

"get out of my head," you whisper as you think back to that night; you can't stop thinking about him for a second and it drives you crazy.

suzume had tried to reach you several times, but you don't want to talk to anyone and that's what you texted her. you would talk soon, about everything — even about the fact that she lied to you.

yoichi also tried to get you out of your room. first it was sweet words, then the sweet words became more and more desperate until he threw threats at you that if you didn't come out in three seconds he would kick the door down. when that didn't help either, he tried to lure you out with all the things you like. wrong. even that didn't work.

only anri managed to come to your room from time to time, but only when you were hungry that you had to eat something. she tried talking to you, but accepted the fact that you needed time.

"it's no use," you sit up.

through the curtains the light of the sunshine is coming in — the weather doesn't suit your mood at all, but you open the curtains and let the warm rays envelop you while the light illuminates your room and your soul.

you must continue, even if seishiro and you should go separate ways.

"y/n!" yoichi is surprised to see you sitting at the dining table. a wonderful breakfast is prepared, even his favorite food is on the table. smiling, he sits down across from you, putting his phone to the side, which is very uncharacteristic for him.

in fact, he starts a conversation with you and you haven't had one of those in a long time.

together you called your father, who is on a good road to recovery. the morning seemed really perfect, but with yoichi's sudden facial expression, you know it might not be so great after all.

"there's something else i should tell you," he plays with his hands, avoiding eye contact while you draw your eyebrows together. "what's wrong?"

he's incredibly tense, and it's making you very nervous. yoichi is searching for the right words, until he finds them, a few minutes have passed, in any case, it seems to you.

"meguru wants to report seishiro for assault."

[...]

you wouldn't have thought that you'd really be here now. hardly anything has changed, the bachiras' villa still looks as beautiful as it did back then.

suddenly you realize only now that it's been a long time since you were here because whenever suzume and you meet, it's at your place or in town.

"y/n, meguru is waiting for you in his room. please follow me," says an employee who smiles at you politely and then runs ahead to take you into the lion's den.

you don't even know what to say to meguru. or whether you should be angry, irritated, or still talk to him politely. you're overwhelmed, but what you do know is that you have to get him to drop the charges against seishiro.

if the boxer is turned in by the bachira meguru, he won't stand a chance. he either goes to jail or has to leave the country. that's how it goes with the bachiras, you can't fight them.

arriving in front of his room, you take another deep breath in and out before your delicate hand hits the hard wood and knocks. shortly after, meguru's voice rings out as he emotionlessly invites you inside.

as you enter, he doesn't look at you once, his gaze is fixed something.

"meg, can we talk?"

he still hasn't looked up into your face, knows why you're there.

a strange silence fills the room until he clears his throat, finally looking up.

"i don't know, can we?" he snorts in amusement, but immediately screws up his face as his lip starts to burn.

seishiro hit it pretty hard, he has to admit.

"we need to talk," you improve and immediately he raises an eyebrow, looks at you with amusement.

"about what angel?" he looks at you confused, pretending that he actually needs to think about what there is to talk about. he makes you incredibly angry, and wondering if you're going to be pissed off, irritated, or remain polite after all, you now know the answer.

"stop playing games, meguru. this is serious!" your voice gets louder, echoing through the large room and surprising your counterpart.

he has never seen you so angry and you have never raised your voice at him. he can't say how he feels about it, but knows he doesn't like it.

why?

because you're standing up to him for seishiro and that's not the plan.

"cool, well then. start!", he waves his hand, indicating that you should start talking.

his actions and deeds are always perfected, collected and planned out like never before. but what is going on inside him, no one will ever know.

"meg, please don't report seishiro," your voice becomes softer and calmer, you're exhausted and have no more strength to fight.

the only thing that matters to you now is that seishiro doesn't get problems with the police. everything else doesn't matter, even if you have to give meguru your own.

your opponent slams his cup on the table. "you seriously came he to tell me this? that's ridiculous, y/n!".

with widened eyes and flinching, you look at him, definitely weren't expecting that, but that's when you see how unpredictable meguru really is.

it's weird to hear your name come out of his mouth since he usually uses nicknames.

he must be mad.

"please" you breathe, doing everything you can to protect the boxer.

"tell me, why should i do that, dear?"
