It's the day after Ana tried to hook Ze and I up and I haven't really talked to her much sense. I don't think Ze has either. "Anthony!" I turn around and see Gavin running towards me. "You excited for the lock in tonight?"
"What lock in?" I ask, I have no clue what he's talking about.
"Ze didn't tell you about it?" Gavin looks surprised.
"Well that makes a lot more sense!" I roll my eyes, he should know that Ze doesn't like me by now, I continue, "That would imply Ze and I socializing, so yeah!"
"Hey Gavin!" Gavin turns around and sees Ze. "Oh," Ze looks at me, "This is a bad time gotta go bye!"
Gavin grabs Ze's arm before he can walk away, "We discussed this," Gavin says, "he's invited."
"Ok," Ze sighs and he walks away.
Gavin looks back at me, "tonight, six o'clock, you don't wanna miss it!" And with that he runs off. I guess I'm going to a lock in tonight.

Time skip

"Three, two, one, bottoms up!" Ze, Gavin, and I stare at Ana as she drinks the vial substance we created. She sits still for a second then jumps up and sprits into the bathroom.
"What did you guys put in that thing?!" Ana yells from the other room. The three of us are laughing to hard to answer he question.
"The real question is what didn't we put in it!" I laugh back at her.
She walks back in and the sick expression on her face turns more into anger. "If the last trivia question wasn't science you would've had to drink this vomit cocktail!" She points at me.
"I bet it's not that bad." Just as those words passed my lips I realize I've made a mistake.
"Oh really?" Ana picks the glass up off the floor and hands it to me, "I'll give you fifty bucks if you can drink this without vomiting."
I catch a whiff of the substance and gag. "Oh my god that smells so bad." At this point it looks like Ana is staring through me and it's kind of creepy. I decide to just drink it and get it over with.
It wasn't that bad, it was worse. I run to the bathroom and vomit the awful concoction back up. "What have we created?!" I yell into the other room, but I don't think they can hear me over them laughing. I walk back into the other room and the three of them are still laughing.
"That was priceless," Ze laughs. I roll my eyes then look at them again. "You know we put a raw egg in there right?"
"There was a raw egg in there?!" Ana's face with a mixture of shock, anger, and disgust.
"Actually it was more of an egg yoke." Ana opens her mouth to yell back at me but then we hear a ding from the other room.
"That's food!" She hops up and runs to get the food, "Gavin come help me!" Gavin rolls his eyes, blows his hair out of his face, and goes to help Ana, leaving me alone with Ze.
I sigh, "Sorry for everything that day at the river."
"You have nothing to be sorry for," Ze looks up at the ceiling, "I overreacted and made a big deal out of nothing,"
"I don't blame you for acting the way that you did," I hug my knees, "I know this sounds crazy but I'd really like to get to know you more,"
"Yeah," Ze smiles, "I'd like that." We stare at each other for a while. He puts one arm around me and I lean my head on his shoulder. My heart beating so fast it could probably power a small car.
I close my eyes but don't fall asleep. I just take it all in, I never thought I'd find anyone like me in this way before. Now that it's happening it all feels so real. "Ze! Come be useful!" Ana yells. He gets up and walks out the door.
"I'll be right back." He smiles and I nod. After he's all the way down the hall I look up at the ceiling and smile. Though I don't think Ze and I have much of a future together, the brief few moments he had his arm wrapped around me made this new world around me not seem so strange.
I don't know how or if I should tell him the way I feel, he'll find out at some point, and judging by what might come, secrets will come out.
