Ana, Ze, and I stare in the direction of the gun shot. A girl looking to be about eighteen stands there, her hair was the exact opposite of Ana's, short, black, and had bangs that cover her left brown eye and are dyed blue. She lowers the gun into her pants pocket. "I- I can't tell you how sorry I am." She says.
No one says anything, but Ana walks over and gives the girl a bloody nose. "Why'd you shoot him?!" She yells.
"I- I, you're in m- my house." She stutters, blood from her nose runs down her face.
The angry expression on Ana's face turns into shock. "Oh..." Her voice trails off, "We thought this place was abandoned."
She wipes the blood from her face, "I can't blame Ya, it's a bit of a reck." She glares at Ze and I, then back at Ana. "Stay as long as you'd like." She walks over to me, "Aren't you that kid that people won't shut up about? Anthony right?"
I nod, "And you are?" I raise one eyebrow.
"Tessa." She walks past me and over to Ze, laying a hand on his shoulder. "And who are you handsome?"
He brushes her hand off of himself in disgust, "I'm Ze, and gay thank you very much."
Tessa rolls her eyes, "Well isn't that a shame."
"I'm also interested in someone else." He tells her.
She sighs, "alrighty then." She stares at Ana, who's looking at Gavin on the floor. A tear runs down her cheek. "He's not dead," She informs her, "just unconscious, the bullets contain a serum that knocks the victim out, something I created."
We all stand there for a second. "Do you have a bathroom?" I ask, breaking the silence.
"Yeah," Tessa responds, "down the hallway, first door to your left."
I do just that. I stare at myself in the mirror. I'm the same person I've always been, messy black hair, hazel eyes, an olive sort of skin tone, and a scar above my right eye. My body type is average for being fifteen. Not underweight but not overweight either. People have one of two reactions when they meet me. I'm either extremely attractive or the exact opposite.
"Ze likes something about me," I tell myself, "I just don't see what." It's true, there's billions of people better looking than me and my personality is really flat.
Someone knocks on the bathroom door and I open it. "Hey," Ze smiles, "you've been in here for a while and I'm just coming to check on you."
I sigh, "Why do you love me?"
He stares at me for a minute, "You're so much different from every other guy I've met," he wraps his arms around my waist, "you understand me, or at least you're trying to."
For us being two years apart, there's not much of a height difference. I'm tall for my age and he's short for his so we both look about sixteen. He kisses me softly. Time stops and the world stops spinning. This is the boy I want to be with forever. I'm exactly where I need to be.
I jump into his arm and he carries me to one of the bedrooms, not once breaking our kiss. I fall onto the bed, Ze on top of me. If anyone is going to take my virginity, I hope it's him. The rest of the night is a blur, but I know we didn't have sex. Just intense making out, and I loved part of it.Time skip
I wake up the next morning next to Ze, mostly clothed. I was shirtless and so was he. I reluctantly get out of bed, not wanting to leave Ze. I walk into the bathroom and find a change of clothes I'm guessing Tessa got me. It wasn't much, just a plain white t-shirt, jeans, and a gray hoodie.
After changing, I notice something on my neck. A hickey. I flip the hood up to hide it a little. It didn't help much but if I leave it alone no one will notice. God dammit Ze.
I go outside for some fresh air and I get the opposite. Suddenly some man walks up behind me and blindfolds me. He covers my mouth so I can't scream but I sure as hell try. No one comes to my rescue. A needle pierces into my neck and next thing I know, I'm out cold.
