Movement from the jungle alerted Cole; he could hear bushes rumbling. The Coco Champs started to emerge from the jungle, they were living coconuts. They had short spears, bows and arrows; they wore tribal outfits and had goofy faces.
"W...woah, s...so these are the people you are trying to protect?"
"That's right, don't take their innocent look for granted. They can hunt you down." Caitlin said.
There was a massive group of Coco Champs surrounding both Cole and Caitlin; they were rejuvenated in the fact that the Sinful Sorcerer of the Brotherhood Zone was no more.
The Coco Champs were doing chants and dancing, it all seemed pretty lively.
All the celebrations stopped when Cole heard all the Coco Champs screaming in fear, he could feel a visiting presence to his side.
He slowly looked over at what Caitlin and the Coco Champs were looking at. In the middle of the village there were purple flames and smoke. When the smoke and fire finally cleared, Cole could see a man standing in the middle of the village. He had a black outback hat, Victorian style jacket, boots and gloves; he seemed like he enjoyed wearing the color black. His skin was dead pale while also having cracks in the skin. His face was lean, and his eyes were dark brown. He was holding a staff which had an abnormally large eye on it, looking at everyone.
Cole noticed the man slowly pan between everyone in the crowd. "I thought you said the Sinful Sorcerer was dead?" Cole asked while looking up at Caitlin."
"Well I did...the one from this zone is dead...but this is The Sinful Sorcerer of The Reality Zone...he is far more powerful and more dangerous."
"Who killed him, who killed my very loyal friend? Because whoever did...I will kill them! My patience is already thin enough!" The man shouted aggressively.
Cole tried to hide behind Caitlin but couldn't when the man spotted him. "You...you did this didn't you? Boy...you made a grave mistake, and I'm going to make you pay for it!"
The man grabbed his staff with two hands and pointed it at Cole, the eye on it looked directly at Cole; it was purple. "I wouldn't do that if I were you...remember...the glistening golden vest?" Caitlin expressed calmly.
"Hah...you're right!" The Sinful Sorcerer went to the dead person in the bushes. He went looking for the vest but it wasn't there.
"It's gone...you said it would be here...where is it? WHERE...is it?" The Sinful Sorcerer shouted. He quickly walked back to Caitlin and Cole.
"It's not on your friend anymore...but it will be on the boy...you see?"
Cole was shocked to hear this and looked down, Caitlin was right; he was wearing the glistening golden vest. The vest fit him perfectly even though it was just on someone much taller previously; it was buttoned nicely, even the bowtie that came with the vest fit. The Sinful Sorcerer scanned Cole. "What? Look...I'm the only one who knows how to use it boy. Take off that vest and give it to me...it's useless!"
"Be careful...if it was useless, then he wouldn't be asking you so eagerly for it. Don't trust him kid...this man will do anything he can to break you." Caitlin whispered to Cole.
"You stay out of this Caitlin...you are nothing more than a pathetic magician. But you are right...kid...if you give me that vest, it would only benefit. Not just for me but for you."
"Ehm no thanks...I think I'm gonna wear the vest...so leave me alone." Cole said.
Cole was very quiet, The Sinful Sorcerer of The Reality Zone looked at Caitlin. "Yes, why don't you leave us alone before another explosion kills you!" Caitlin said.
The man looked around slightly worried hearing that, he looked back at Cole and Caitlin. "Gah, very well. But I'm warning you kid...you should give me the vest before other people start getting hurt. I'll be waiting..."
Both Cole and the man looked at each other in the eyes before the man stomped to the middle. He laughed as purple flames and smoke appeared around him; it was quite a frightening sight. Cole could hear the sound of bushes around him moving, and the cries of fear; he hid behind Caitlin. When the purple smoke and flames went away, the mysterious man was no longer there. Cole also noticed that all the Coco Champs were hiding, he slowly looked up at Caitlin. "It's alright everyone, the Sinful Sorcerer Of The Reality Zone is gone...he is not here to hurt you anymore with his sinful thoughts and violent actions!" Caitlin called out.
Cole stopped hiding and noticed that all the Coco Champs started to come out of the bushes of the jungle environment; relieved that the mysterious man was gone.
Cole looked up at Caitlin once again, wondering what the man was doing and where he was. "If you want to get off these islands and go home...you must go to the Mighty Magician of Da. He's in the Moonstone Zone, and he sure is something..." Caitlin peacefully said.
"Oh okay but ehm...if you don't mind me asking, what makes him more special than you? Aren't you both at the same amount of power since you are both magicians?"
Caitlin pats Cole's shoulder and takes Cole to one of the teepees in the village, the Coco Champs went to do their usual business around the village. "You see, many years ago when this island was brought over by darkness and evil...this island didn't really have a protector...not until the mighty came...and it was agreed that he would take control of the islands of Da...and that he would also get the Moonstone Zone."
"Oh, well that's cool to hear...that ehm, this island has someone it looks up to. Why does the man from The Reality Zone hate him?"
"Because he never liked the views of the Mighty Magician...and he has always had a tough time with what the magician has done to spread joy."
Cole understood that logic but another question formed in his mind, he adjusted the glasses on his face to fit in order to look at the glistening golden buttoned vest he was wearing; the bowtie of the vest fit pretty nicely. He slowly looked back up at Caitlin and scratched his head. "So if this vest is really powerful...why didn't you go and wear it yourself? So you could get the ultimate power from it right? I wouldn't ehm...be mad if you took the vest from me." Cole nervously asked.
"I gave the vest because I not only was worried about your safety specifically...but also because it's not in my interest to wear it; just for the fact that I don't need to wear it to survive in the Brotherhood Zone. Plus you need to get home, the best way to get home is to show the mighty magician of Da the vest. You need to show it to him because it is his...and it will be in trusted hands when you take the vest off." Caitlin explained.
"So just to be clear...these are The Magical Islands of Da, and that there are zones with other magical beings?"
"Why yes, some have magical powers...some zones don't have users with magical powers...so we call them kings and queens."
Caitlin pulled out a map and pencil for Cole, the map was very colorful but also somewhat had tears; it wasn't in the most pristine condition. Cole nodded and after looking at the map for some time he looked over at Caitlin who had put a bunch of items in front of him; they all looked very interesting. "What, what is all of this? Are these things supposed to be helpful to me?" Cole asked.
"Why yes, they are things that could help you on your journey. But be careful, you only have a limited amount of these items...so don't just waste them. You can't predict what will happen in the future."
