After Cole was dragged out, everything seemed to stop. It was only a matter of time before his eyes opened abruptly; he was now in a bright surrounding, almost blinding. Eventually he would Another cell, but this was a padded room with no windows.
Everything seemed to be a blur, so Cole rubbed his face, he realized it was blurry since he wasn't wearing his glasses. Cole crawled and reached around the room, from the corners to eventually making his way to the middle.
He sighed and sat on the floor, he covered his face and pondered about everything that led him to this very moment.
He laid on his side and stared at one of the walls; he tried to create a drawing of something in his mind while looking at the blurry white padded wall.
He flipped onto his back to look up at the ceiling.
He started to squint when he noticed a part of the ceiling looked a little mischievously blue, he was surprised that there was any other color in the room beside the dull white. Cole stopped as the blue started to move, or was it?
The blue shape started to go down the wall across from him.
His hands trembled while backing up from the shape, he backed up against the wall. The blue shape within a few seconds went up the wall and crossed the roof, it wasn't long after that the shape was above Cole on the same wall; all The Boy could only look up.
The shape handed him something.
Cole slowly reached up and instantly knew what he was given, he slowly wore them which made his vision less blurry; he looked up.
"Oh, ehm th- thank you, I couldn't have seen anything without my glasses, it was so blurry, and it was making my head hurt. W- what? No way, it can't be you. J- Jessica? You were the Person Of Interest?"
The Jester hopped down and sat next to him, they looked over at him.
"Well well, looks like someone in this prison nightmare can still think. Yes, it is me! So now you probably wonder what's your prize? Well cue the drum roll. My company! Yea sorry but they asked about if I knew you. Well, you know..."
"That's why I'm here now, I get it. I'm not mad."
"Actually, though I'm surprised to see you here, what happened?" Jessica responded.
"Okay well this is how it went, ehm...after I got the currency from Briella, I was captured by Gedeon...Yuna and Elijah also got captured."
"What? Are you serious? Cause if so, then we'll make Gedeon and his stupid little brother pay one day. Okay well what happened next?" Her tone had shifted from a playful vibe to a slightly eerie vibe.
"Well, we won't ehm...need to have Gedeon pay in the future, see he ehm...well died. I can't believe I did this, but I caused his death. I don't feel g-"
His breathing slowed down as he looked away from Jessica. He felt Jessica's hand lie on his shoulder, it was oddly comforting. He felt her hand go off his shoulder, so Cole took one final breath before facing her.
"Th- thank you for understanding. And it's okay, I don't mind at this point." Cole said as he felt Jessica's touch on his shoulder again.
After some time passed, he finished telling her about how he got to the Sola-Mon Empire.
Jessica climbed the wall and sat on the other side of Cole; she giggled a little.
"So yeah I know that all sounds crazy but that's the cold hard truth, I don't even know how I'm still breathing but here I am...I guess. What about you?"
She not only crossed her legs while she sat but also her arms, she looked down at the white padded floor before glancing at Cole.
"I got here not by choice, but by being kidnapped. I don't know what else to say about it, that's simply it. I was tied up, thrown in a crate; those moments stuck in there, it was unbearingly discomforting...even for me hehe."
She looked to the side slightly before she stared at him, her smile was almost gone.
"And then I woke up here, in this little cell. I thought I'd be stuck in this special cell all by my lonesome self, luckily you showed up. So yeah, that's pretty much it!"
"Oh my, Jessica. That sounds awful, nobody should have to ehm...go through that. Let alone you. Hey, I really apologize how I treated you. You were just trying to be my friend, you put yourself out there towards me...and I took you for granted. But ehm...you chose me. I'm sorry."
His mountain of apologies would start to build up. Jessica crawled to him, she lightly placed a finger on Cole's nose, leaving him speechless and quiet.
Jessica slowly took her finger off his nose, Cole nodded towards her and looked at the floor.
"Nah. I didn't treat you with respect and privacy. With all my walk-ins and ehm...yeah. It was clear that I wasn't helping with the situation you were in."
They both glanced each other in the eyes again. There were a few seconds of staring, they both looked away suddenly.
Cole started to slowly nod. A small rush in his chest would begin, he couldn't explain it.
He slowly got off the wall and got up off the floor.
"Well fine okay, for your closure in regard to that, you're excused. Now let's leave those mistakes in the past and focus on other topics. Let's start trying to do the best we can, I don't know...where to start."
Cole circled around the room a few times before he stopped.
"I guess we can see whether there's a secret button or lever. What'd you think?"
Jessica wiped her face with her hands.
Her eyes were covered as she slowly started to grin, she sprung up immediately after.
