The night life in Columbia was always bustling and busy, but also dangerous and full of dark figured at every corner. The safest yet dangerous places where the clubs, lots of people but it was easy for those who where bad people to blend in. Clubbing was all you did, you where the life of the party, going out, drink a bit too much and taking someone home every now and then. Much to your "surprise" they would leave your bed empty when the sun rose. It kept you distracted from the underlying truth and hardships of life, but you weren't about it. You where a person who wanted to experience life at its fullest, even if it
Meant throwing up over a club toilet while hearing a couple next to you make out.
"Hey, get a room that isn't here, trying to hack up this shit." Your voice was hoarse and you breathed heavily trying to hold back your hair. You felt the pressure and wet feeling in your mouth pour out and felt the rumble in your stomach come out of your mouth. You spit the reminisce out and mentally promised your self you would never drink that heavy again, that was a fat lie, you flushed the half broken toilet with the bottom of your foot. You walked out of the stall and fixed your hair in the mirror. You whipped your mouth with the back of your hand, you reached to turn on the sink and splashed your face and neck with the cold water. The faint sound and base of the music filled your ears as you leaned over the counter. You pushed your hair back and fixed the dress you where wearing. You grabbed a paper towel from the side of the sink that where already half soaked with water and dapped your face with it soaking up the excess water. You went through your purse and pulled out a light pink lipstick and applying it to your lips. Then leaving the bathroom to embrace the night life ones again. You made your way to the bar and asked the bar tender to a small
Glass of water. He nodded his head and slid it into your direction. You took a sip the turned your head observing the sweaty bodies on the dance floor. "A pretty woman like you isn't out there right now?" You whipped your head around and looked at the middle aged man, clearly intoxicated, eyes half way open staring at you. You laughed and scooted away from him slightly, "just taking a break, had a little too much to drink." He nodded his head and sat down next to you, "you here with anyone?" He asked, you could see his body start to gently rock side to side and his eyes open and close slowly. "Yes, with some girl friends of mine, we come every weekend." He nodded off and finally slumped over the bar counter you scooted away further and finished up your water cup. You stood up carefully, still mildly woozy from the amount of tequila you consumed from earlier and thanked the bartender for the drink and walked slowly to the door. You pulled your jacket off by the table you had originally been sitting at which had been taken over a young couple on the verge of fucking each other right then and there you awkwardly pulled it off the chair and walked out of the door. The air felt cold for a moment and the sweat on your body began to dry quickly as you walked down the street to your apartment complex. The air had thickened and became the hot-humid Colombian weather you had originally Been used too. You carefully and quietly turned the corner and walked into the building of your apartment, you walked through the door and took the stairs to the 4th floor. You came to your hallway and stumbled down the hallway. You over heard loud thuds and moans coming from the door three down from yours, you had brushed up against it making a mild thump. Your head felt heavy and your vision slightly blurred. You had made it to your door and searched for your keys in your bag. The headache was setting in and you rubbed your eyes to try to focus on getting inside your home. You could hear a door open and then close, foot steps rushed
Out the door quickly. You looked to your right and saw the figure of a woman stumble out of the apartment and fix her self and walk out casually. You fiddled with your different keys and tried at least 2 of them before your head gently hitting your door as you tried to focus on getting your self inside, but the headache was taking over and the feeling of regret was washing over you. The alcohol was still in your system even after you hacked it up in the bathroom. Your feet crossed causing you to lean against the door. You tried the last key and pushed it into the door and tried to open it but you slumped down onto your door on the floor and your eyes felt heavy.
