The market was bustling and busy, vendors lined each and every street corner and small ally ways held almost any Nick-nack you could possibly think of. Along the way, anything you eyed Javier would haggle the price down for you and your beauty also played a role in it as well. Men loved pretty women stoping at their shops to even bat an eye at them. You picked from many assortments of fruits and vegetables, smelled different types of flowers and many vendors would try to convince you to look at what they where selling. You also picked up a few candles. Some scented and others just plain for looks or dinner over candle light. You gathered what you needed from the market and you both walked back to javis car. "Anything else you need me to haggle.", "no, but I do need new towels." He opened the car door for you and closed it, then walked around to the other side to let him self in. "There's a very small mall, but that's more down town in you want to go to that." He pulled his tinted aviators down his sculpted nose. "That's fine." He nodded and started the car up again.

On the way there you talked about almost everything. Preferences between cats and dogs, which restaurant was the best, childhood school memories, discussing favorite colors and even you're favorite kinds of music. But the topic of relationships or work never came into play. It was nice but that was usually things people would go for when striking up a conversation. You pulled into a tight spot on the street and got out of the car. You walked into the small strip mall perusing the many isles of items. Blenders, toasters, cans of food, bed sheets, and finally towels. You slowly walked down the isle of high stacked fabrics. You ran your hand along as you walked and either made a face when one you touched didn't feel right or when one felt good, you came to a stop and pulled the fabric out from under many towels above it. "This one's nice- thick, soft, bigger than the ones I have. What do you think?" You passed it to Javier, he took it and gave you a Funny look. "I don't shower at your place, I have my own. It's your towels." He handed them back to you, "I'm just asking for your opinion, like if you where towel shopping what would you get." He raised a eye brow, "I don't towel shop.", "so how old are your towels Javier?" He shrugged, "I've just never had to replace them." You made a face, "that's kinda gross." He rolled his eyes. "Fine, I will get two." He pulled two random ones off the shelf. They where dark blue, thick and heavy but not super soft. "Happy?" You felt the towel, "it's decent. I've seen better." He put them back on the shelf and squeezed each one on the self feeling it's thickness and comfortability. Your stomach turned watching his large hands caress the fabrics. He pulled another one off the shelf. "How about these?" They where grey, thin but soft to the touch and had a patted etched on each ends. " those are nice." He tucked the two towels under his arm and you both walked out of the isle to pay for what you had.

It was about 4:00 now and you wanted to go home and get ready for going out later. Javi took you home and said not to bother him till because he wanted to look though his files for the millionth time. You offered next time he's at the embassy that you would pull some files you thought where more interesting that what he has. He asked you to go with him and show him the files you where talking about but reminded him that it was your day off and he still had to take you out later today. He was pouty but sucked it up. You shut the door behind you and set your bags on the kitchen table unpacking your essentials for the week and putting them away accordingly. You walked over to your old radio and turned on what ever radio station was playing. Most of the time they where playing throw back Spanish hits from the 60's and 50's. They made great back ground noise and always set you in a relaxing mood. You set out your candles and lit one and set it on your kitchen table, closely away from your already wilting flowers. You walked to your room and rustled through your drawers searching for something to wear. Something simple but skimpy, but not too skimpy. Bell bottom jeans, white tank top, cowboy boots, your hair covered with a navy blue satin blue Bandana, your head peaking out slightly below the silky fabric. Light makeup and small gold hoops. It's was simple, good for dancing. Javier didn't seem like the dancing type but you convinced him other wise to go with you so it was a possibility. Time passed quickly and you waited patiently on the couch finishing up your show, well mostly back ground noise that was full house. A soft knock came at your door, you stood up and walked to it too look out the peep hole. Javier stood there, he looked good. Cowboy boots, dark green polo shirt that was tight around his biceps, the buttons all the way undone and his aviators hung between the three unbuttons on his chest. Dark jeans and in his left had was a small bouquet of flowers. You took them and set them into a new vase and change out the old wilting ones on the dinner table. It was an arrangement of peonies and baby's breath. The light pink of the peonies added a pop of color in your apartment. "Thank you javi, they're very pretty." He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed "flowers aren't really my thing but, I can make an exception." You smiled and picked up your purse off the counter and he showed you out your door. You closed and locked it behind you.
