I drive to the warehouse where I keep my gear, quickly slipping into my motorcycle attire. Pushing my bike outside, I maneuver my car into the warehouse and close the door behind me. Straddling my bike, I take a moment to catch my breath before lowering the visor of my helmet and revving the engine. With a firm grip on the handlebars and a precise motion of my foot, I exit the warehouse and merge onto the road, heading towards the Outcast club, one of the few places I haven't ventured into as Elizabeth.

As I approach the club, I slow down, observing the sight of several Harley-Davidson and a handful of cars parked outside. Prospects, the club's prospective members, can be seen outside, engaged in their usual activities of drinking and smoking. It doesn't take long for them to notice my presence, and although they hurl insults in my direction, I pay them no mind. Confident in my own allure, I know that my beauty surpasses the appeal of their Harley-Davidson.

After a while, a mischievous impulse takes hold of me, and I decide to taunt them further. Raising my arm as if armed, I pretend to shoot at them, provoking a rise in their agitation. They call upon MC members who emerge armed, but I swiftly disappear into the night, only to reappear in a calculated loop of provocation before fading back into the shadows. My intention is to lure them away, creating a distraction that will allow me to investigate unnoticed, hoping to uncover any potential leads or connections.

My patience is unwavering, despite the discomfort in my ribs. As the first light of dawn begins to break, I start my engine and make my way back, storing my motorcycle and assuming the identity of Elizabeth once again. Today, my plan is to visit the restaurant, if only to check on the status of my job. Though I may not be operating at full capacity, it's crucial for me to continue my routine, especially to observe the reactions of the MC members who frequent the establishment, in search of any sign of Paige's brother among them.

Paige.

I open my laptop and begin my research on Paige. She's a local, born and raised in this area, and has never relocated. According to her online biography, she graduated from Chapel Hill Medical University, which is less than an hour and a half's drive away. Her education took place entirely in Fayetteville. Despite my efforts, I couldn't find any presence of hers on social media, and there are no personal photographs of her available, aside from the official ones taken at charity events and local gatherings. She always appears unaccompanied, and there is no mention of a brother in any of the information I found.

Perhaps they are half-siblings and do not share the same last name?

I finish taking notes on my findings and close my laptop, preparing myself to head to the restaurant.

Upon my arrival, Vanessa throws herself into my arms, showing genuine care and giving me a warm hug. I appreciate her sincerity and the fact that she seems to want to grow closer to me since opening up to me. The owner greets me with a smile, expressing his apologies for the incident and emphasizing that it portrays the city in a negative light. He reassures me of his support and expresses his desire to keep me on staff. Understanding that I am not fully recovered, he proposes a gradual return, working a few hours a day and limiting my shifts to two or three days a week initially.

As I make my way out through the customer door, my biker acquaintances arrive and greet me, inquiring about my well-being. None of them seem to be hiding the fact that they saw me at Paige's house, leading me to doubt that her brother is among them. However, it's worth noting that not all of them are present. They seems to think that something is happening between David and me, and they mention that he is searching for a missing friend, while Mr. Blond is suffering from food poisoning. I allow them to proceed with their breakfast and depart, as it is time for me to carry out my errands.
