Chapter 47: My Name Is Yuka

Yuka: alright then....

Yuka, a 17 year old Octoling soldier who stood beyond the rest, had a nice smile on her face as she looked across from herself to see the simple 13 year old Yumi.........

Yuka: let's get this show goin'. Come at me.

Yumi nodded and ran straight at Yuka, throwing punches towards her, and Yuka stepped back while blocking the punches, seeing Yumi huff and puff before her.

Yuka: loosen yourself.....Breathe and focus.

Yumi took a deep breath and spun her body to try and kick Yuka with her heel across her face, but Yuka blocked the kick, and threw a quick punch at Yumi, but she managed to dodge the punch and try to hit Yuka with an uppercut, only for her to grab Yumi's fist, with a little chuckle escape her mouth.

Yuka: good counter....nooow........

Yuka swung her leg and tripped Yumi right off her feet, but Yumi quickly reacted by placing her hands down to catch herself on the ground. She used the last bit of her momentum to swing her foot at Yuka. She couldn't help but smile as she grabbed Yumi's leg. She saw Yumi reach and grab onto her OctoShot, which made her draw her own.

The two sisters aimed at each other, but Yuka was much faster to pull the trigger, which made Yumi pull her leg from her grasp and jump away, then shoot at Yuka, but she saw Yuka smirk while pointing past her.

Yuka: remember.....watch your back....

Yumi quickly turned her head and saw a suction bomb behind her, shocked at Yuka for her speed. With barely enough time, Yumi jumped up and away seeing the bomb explode in a huge splash of ink.

Yumi landed on her feet and once she did, saw another suction bomb fly directly through the ink, which made Yumi quickly kick the bomb away, causing another explosion.

Yumi saw Yuka immediately rush towards her and shoot at her, but Yumi began to catch up with her older sister, adapting and controlling her breathing and movements much more fluently, which made Yuka let out a gentle smile.

Yuka: there ya go.....

She looked at her younger sister and saw her pull out a suction bomb to hit her directly with, but Yuka pulled out her own and slammed it against Yumi's, making the two suction bombs stick together by their ends.

Yuka firmly grasped onto her bomb, then swung he bombs, which lifted Yumi off the ground from her strength. Yumi let out a tiny whimper and Yuka let go of the bombs, making Yumi fly away with the two suction bombs.

They began to flash, and Yumi quickly reacted by dropping the suction bombs and quickly kicked them away as fast as she could, but since she was pushing herself too much, Yumi lost her balance and dropped her OctoShot while tumbling to the ground just as the suction bombs exploded in the distance.

Yumi pushed herself up and was about to crawl over to her OctoShot to pick it up to continue the fight, but before she managed to grab her weapon, Yumi felt the cold and tough steel of Yuka's OctoShot pressing against the back of her head.

Yuka: that's enough........you did pretty good.

Yuka saw Yumi slowly grab onto her OctoShot.......then stand up silently.....not saying a single word.....Yuka gently grabbed onto Yumi's shoulder.....leaning down to her from behind.

Yuka: hey......what's wrong?.......

Yumi:..........

Yuka: I can clearly tell that something is on your mind.......
