Chapter 2: Plans

The sun shined brightly for another day, and glared right in the window and onto an Inkling girls face, causing her to groan and slowly open her eyes.

Bella: geez sun, I'm up

Bella leaned up from her bed and realized that she was on the floor, making her realize everything that happened last night wasn't a dream.

Bella: oh...Goodmorning Yumi!

Bella didn't get a "goodmorning" back, making her slightly concerned, but shrug it off.

Bella: she's most likely still sleeping

Bella stood up to check to see if Yumi was still sleeping within her bed and....she was gone? Bella stood there, completely confused and began to look around the apartment while saying "Yumi" in the process, but the girl didn't show up anywhere.

Bella:......Yumi...

Bella sat on the now empty bed and let out a sigh, then pinched the bridge of her nose until she heard her phone ring. Bella picked up the phone and put it up to her ear.

B: hello?

C: Bella?

B: what's up, Coraline?

C: nothing much, and goodmorning!

B: mornin'

C: how did everything with Yumi go last night?

B: oh uh....I um....I think I scared her off...

C: scared her off? What do you mean?

B: well I woke up to only find out that she was gone......I guess I made things super awkward last night

C: it's ok Bella, she most likely went home

B: yeah...that makes sense

C: well at least you did the right thing and helped someone in need. Do you want to get Miles, and hang out in the square today? Possibly watch some top level matches?

B: sure

C: we'll be waiting for you at the entrance

B: alright

Bella hung up the phone and let out a tired like sigh.

Bella: well......time to get ready for the day

Yumi was walking down the sidewalk and past other Inklings and Octolings until she reached Flounder heights. Ever since splat tower was built, a bunch of Inklings and only a handful of Octolings moved there just so they would have better apartments to stay in, while the other majority of Octolings moved into Flounder heights.

The main reason being because Octolings aren't really that....wealthy...and they don't really place that high up in the rankings in tournaments and not a single Octoling squad is in the Inktastic ten. But there were SOME Octolings in splat tower but definitely not a lot.

Inkling girl: I can't wait to get my splat on today! I'm pumped!

Inkling boy: same here! Maybe if we train hard enough we'll make it into the Inktastic Ten

Inkling girl 2: psssh, yeah right

Yumi watched as the Inklings walked past her and minded their own business. The Inktastic Ten.....a ranking system on which the top ten best squads known to squid and Octo kind, would get placed up and above the others.

The one reason why every squid and Octo wanted to get into the Inktastic ten so bad is because once you're in the top ten best squads, you are instantly considered fresh by the public!
