Ominous

Seiko sat beside her sister in the hospital. Rochelle's color was coming back and she seemed to be herself. Mikey was also there, he took the first flight back to California and was by her side. Seiko had been sleeping at the hospital and Ronnie had been at home because of school and stuff.

Seiko had been keeping to herself so long and with all the emotions going on she had forgotten to talk to her sister who she hadn't heard from in two days. They kept Rochelle doped up so whenever she was awake she was only worried about eating and bathing. Seiko dialed Ronnie's number and held the phone up. It went straight to voicemail. She called it again, and it went straight to voicemail. Ronnie's phone was never dead, she talked too much for her phone to die, she kept her charger at all times and would stop whatever she was doing to get a little juice. If she was on 5 percent or less, and on her way home she would stop wherever a wall plug was and get to 25 percent before coming home, so Seiko knew something was up.

"Chelle..." Seiko lightly called her sisters name.

She turned. "Huh?"

"Have you talked to Ronnie?" She asked putting on her coat.

"No, I haven't heard from her since Wednesday." She said sitting up.

Today was Saturday.

"I'll be back." Seiko grabbed her keys and walked out.

"Call me!" Rochelle yelled from the hospital room.

She liked being in the hospital at first, but now it was just aggravating and she just wanted to be with her sisters.

Seiko sped to the apartment building. She drove to her sisters usual parking spot. When Ronnie bought her car a couple of months ago she made her own personal spot. She placed a sign that said apartment director in the spot closest to the door and parked there every time. Seiko was really surprised any one took her seriously. Her car wasn't there, Seiko parked in her spot and went to the house.

When she got inside it was crickets. She turned on all the lights and looked in all the rooms. Seiko figured she may be downstairs in Toine's apartment. Seiko walked to the 5th floor and it was empty for the first time ever. When she made it down the hall, she saw Joe coming out of Mikey's apartment.

"Hey Joe, you seen my lil sister?" Seiko asked before knocking on Toine's door.

"Who? Ro?" He asked raising his brow.

"Who else Joe? You seen her?" She asked again.

"I haven't, but word on the street is her and that lil nigga Tone broke up and she got real pissed off. Lil mama ain't been home?" He asked.

"Nah." Seiko started banging on Toine's door.

You could hear the rap music and smell the weed.

"Who is it?" Someone yelled over the door.

Seiko didn't answer, she just banged harder.

"Man open the door, it's probably somebody coming to tell us turn the music down." Toine said.

The door opens a bit and then they saw Seiko. The guy at the door laughed because all that noise came from her small ass. He opened the door all the way letting her in. Smoke filled the room, Toine and a couple of his friends were in there and some girls. She perused the room in search for Tone and saw him sitting on the couch hugged up with some girl who wasn't Ronnie.

"Where my sister at Tone?" Seiko started to run up on him but toine caught her.

"Woah baby relax, come have a lil smoke or two." Toine' friend had gotten up and was walking to Seiko.

"Toine, out of my face aight. I want to talk to Tone." She held up her hand in front of Toine and pointed at Tone.

Toine raised his eyebrow.

"We can't get everything we want." Tone said putting the blunt to his lips.

"Let me rephrase that then," Seiko had stepped up. "I'm going to talk to you." She was shaking her head in a messy like manner.

"Nah you can get out my house Seiko." Toine said stepping to her.

"So you go let your woman beating brother get away with whatever he did to my sister?" She asked looking at Toine in the eye.

He squinted. He couldn't look Seiko in the eye knowing what his brother did.

"I didn't do shit to Ronnie, I broke up with her tired ass, she got mad and that was that." Tone was up and in Seiko's face at this point.

"Tone you don't scare me lil nigga, I grew up with y'all remember?" Seiko's face was turned and she realized they weren't going to tell the truth so she would just have to go to the police. "Look, Ronnie been missing for three days aight, if you hear from her let me know." Tone made a pshh sound. "Toine?" She said looking at him. "Yea aight Ko." He said shaking his head.

She stared at Tone for a second before leaving.

Tone pulled out his phone and dialed his mother's number. He hadn't talked to her since the incident and he didn't know what was up. He walked in the back towards the rooms as the phone started ringing.

"Hello?" His mother said into the phone.

"Ma? Did you ever do that for me?"

"I couldn't Tone, she wasn't breathing and those people were going to come after you." His mother started crying.

He paced the room. "Man what the fuck!" He hit the wall. "I told you drop her off and leave! Fuck, where is she?"

His mother was still crying. "I drove her car into a lake Tone." She let out.

Tone ran his hand across his face and his eyes got watery, not because Ronnie was dead, but because he knew he was going down for it.

"Tone I'm sorry!" She yelled into the phone. "I just can't lose my son."

"Mama her sister just left here looking for her, I know her next stop is the police." Tone said.

"Well stop her." His mother said with no emotion. "Kill her Tone. I can't lose yall. Kill her." She said.

Tone couldn't believe his mother's words. He couldn't believe her actions period, he was going to listen though. He hung up the phone and grabbed his keys and a gun with a silencer.

"I'll be back." He said passing everybody up in the living room.

"Tone where you going?" His brother yelled. He didn't answer. He got up and followed him out.

Tone sped walked to the garage and Toine was right on his heels.

"Tone wassup man, tell me what you thinking." Toine was on his side. He knew what his brother was thinking and he wasn't about to talk him out of it. They made it to the garage and Seiko was walking to the car.

They walked over there slowly looking for people who might witness what was about to happen. They crept over to Seiko's car just as she started it. Tone knocked on the door lightly, he didn't seem suspicious to her. She rolled her window down anxious he was about to tell her where Ronnie was.

"I do know where Ronnie is Seiko." He said folding his arms.

"Oh my god Tone." Seiko held her heart. "Where?"

"Cold creek lake." He pulled his hand from under his arm and pointed the gun at Seiko. He fired 9 rounds and she tried to escape out the passenger side. She was hit in the face, side, and back.

Tone and Toine ran back in the apartment leaving the scene. Tone was ruthless at this point, and he didn't want anybody getting in his way.
