Ronnie
"Smile Ronnie, you're graduating for God sakes!" Rochelle said slightly putting her phone down to give me a look.
I put on a fake smile and posed for their little pictures. Her and Seiko were agging me, and I was ready to just go home.
Seiko made a face scrunching her nose up.
"Girl what's your problem?" She yelled with aggravation in her voice.
"Nothing can we go?" I looked past them to see Anthony walking up behind them.
I rolled my eyes not even noticing. It was just a natural reaction when ever he appeared or his name was brought up.
"Hey Ant." Chelle said hugging him.
He hugged both my sisters as they questioned and congratulated him at the same time.
He walked up to me and I pretended to be into my phone.
"Who you trying to play that trick on? I know you Ronnie, you ain't doing nothing but scrolling past your time line." He said yanking my phone out of my hand.
"Didn't know you cared so much." I said yanking it back.
"I don't." He said shrugging but still in my face.
"I just came to say bye." I glanced up from my phone to look at him. Nothing could stop the tears from falling. Anthony was my first everything and here he was saying goodbye to me, and on the worst terms ever.
I hugged him tight and just started crying.
"Didn't know you cared so much." He said laughing.
"Shut up!" I nudged my shoulder into his stomach.
"Listen, I know how things are, but they don't have to be like that. I love you so much and whenever you need me I'm here for you. I love you aight. OU ain't that far." He said holding onto my neck.
"It might as well be on the other side of the world Ant." I said holding onto his tiny waist.
Anthony was really my baby. We got together the middle of our freshman year and been kicking it ever since. Until he cheated on me the beginning of senior year with some tall, skinny, transfer model chick. I wasn't hating or nothing the girl was gorgeous, but she wasn't me.
I pulled myself away from Tony and looked up at him. He wiped my tears away smearing my makeup.
"See why I don't like it when you wear that shit!" He said holding up his hand showing me a variety of colors on it.
I laughed patting under my eyes.
"Ain't nobody tell you come over here and get me started."
"If I don't who will?" He said holding my chin.
"Anthony! We're waiting for you, they want pictures." The model bitch said from afar.
She knew better than to walk up on me, that's how she got her last black eye.
"Aight gimme a minute." He said nodding.
She stood and waited. Home girl wasn't stupid enough to leave him around me for too long because if he would've stayed any longer he'd be leaving with me.
"My number ain't go never change aight?" He said looking back at me.
"Same." I said patting my face again.
