Crazy Ex Backstory (4)

'hello?'
'is this, Mr. Walker?'
'yes that's me'
'and you are in relation with lily cadiux, is that correct'
'yes, she's my friend'
'well, we have good news, She is going to be completely fine, you are now able to come and see her'
'alright, thank you'
'have a good day sir'

I hung up the phone and I smiled out of excitement to see her. I had been so worried about her. I went into my closet and grabbed a hoodie. Then I saw the hoodie that lily loved. I took it out and brought it with me. I put a different one on and got my keys and phone and left. Once I got there,i went to the reception and they told me where she was. Once she saw me, her face lightened up.

'Alan!'
'lily! You're okay!'

I ran to her and I threw my arms around her immediately. She slowly but her arms around me and she was shaking.

'I've been so worried about you!'
'I've...been...worried that... You wouldnt cope...with seeing me...like that...'
'well...I couldn't at first but an officer stayed with me and I was so happy when I got the call from the receptionist telling me you were okay.'
'i was...happy when...they told me...you were coming...to see me'
'I brought you soemthing lily...'

I then pulled out the hoodie she loved. She looked shocked. She then smiled weakly and I saw teared drop from her eyes.

'you...still have that...'
'yeah...and I want you to have it...'
'Alan...I can't take that...It holds too many memories...'
'I have another one that holds a lot of memories...i want you to have this one... So,if you're ever upset,you can wear it and you'll be reminded of all those memories we have together...'

She took the hoodie from my hands and held it close to her. She teared up quickly and tried to sit up but she then exclaimed in pain and laid back down.

'lily...be careful...'
'i...wanted to put it on...'
'you'll have to wait until you get out of here...'
'oh god...'
'are you okay? What's wrong!'
'I feel sick...I don't know why...'
'maybe the bullet has messed with your stomach or something...youll be okay...dont worry'

Then the doctor came in.

'hello there, you must be Mr.Walker'
'yes, I am'
'are you any relation to miss cadiux?'
'I'm her friend, shes staying with me'
'do you know what happened?'
'I know exactly what happened,her crazy Ex boyfriend broke in when I wasn't there and when I got back the police were already there but it took us both a couple minutes to realise she had been shot. After we realised, she passed out and the police called an ambulance and they came and took her. I came here immediately after getting the phone call'
'that's what I was told had happened'
'is lily going to be okay?'
'your friend is one tough woman, she's gonna be completely fine but during her recovery, she may experience some side effects to the injury and that's completely normal'
'what side effects?'
'nausea and sometimes vomiting as the bullet has effected her stomach'
'oh...okay...when can I take her back home?'
'once we get the results back she will be able to leave. She will have to come back in a week to have the bandages removed'
'alright, thank you doctor'

The doctor left the room and lily held my hand.

'I knew...you would be right that whole time...'
'you always know...'

She smiled at me and the doctor came back in.

'so...the results came back and she will be okay! You are allowed to take her home'
'but, what about the wound'
'the wound had been taken care of and she just has to rest. She will probably start feeling better in a week or so.'
'alright, thank you'

I looked back at lily and she looked really happy. I was also happy about it. I took her home and while she recovered, I was there the whole time. She did throw up and she was in pain but she overcame it. She didn't give up and I was proud.
